PJ is not as good as a defender as people think and gets away with it because he’s lengthy and “can guard multiple positions.” Eh, kinda. He’s a B defender at best. And he’s only good when he’s hitting threes. PJ can also turn out a stretch of 3/15 from three very easily

Miller often doesn’t get into a defensive stance and gets caught standing straight up, which is why he gets burned off the dribble so easily

It’s been that since college for miller, it’s unfortunate that he doesn’t allow himself to use his length on defense as much as he should

I tuned in 3rd quarter and there’s no Brandon in sight. I glanced at the box score and see he’s played significantly less minutes than the other starters. My immediate thought was please don’t be injured. It’s crazy how conditioned we, at least I am to expect the worst with this team. After a while I thought to double check the box score to see how many fouls he had and boy what a relief to see he had 5 which explained why he was on the bench.

But it’s just amazing to see the evidence of what THIS team can be with good health and continuity in the lineup on the floor from night to night.

Fun win. Sadly I think Kon’s ROY chances just went out the window. A fair amount of the 49 Flagg put up were over/past him and then Kon said Flagg is “the best player he’s faced in the NBA”… But I’m ecstatic with the play of the team and the winning streak!

Flagg was really good. Not a good matchup for Kon. Miller is the better matchup but could not guard him

If Kon is still playing at Cooper’s level and we’re playing more meaningful minutes, I think it could still go his way. I mean (microcosm), he got the steal and the winning FTs.
