Game 28: CHA at PHI

Almost feels like a must-win after the last 3 games.

Well that’s nice.

Mark williams played 19 minutes last night. Why does he need to be out for this game? Damn load management and games off still? Smh

Yeah, it’s pretty frustrating. I get being careful, but he was out for an entire year and has yet to even play half a game since he’s been back. If he’s this fragile it certainly doesn’t bode well for his long term future. I wonder if the NBA is eventually going to do away with back to backs since more and more players are being held out of them.

We have to be actively tanking at this point, no? I don’t mean we should/should not, but that the organization is actively doing so, correct?

Welp, 7-21. Yup, calling this game 4 mins in

Eastley

Wonder who is in worse physical shape? Embiid or Micic?

GoBobcats24

Jeffries comes in after how many DNPCD's and immediately drills a contested 3

spectre

I hope we move bridges at the deadline. Jeffries, Martin and Green would probably fit better. Definitely raise the bbiq

Eastley

I don't know if we've ever had a wing with a little bballiq as miles

spectre

I’m not sure there is one lol

and I’m definitely over Micic

Eastley

"Over Micic?"
"I don't know that I'll ever get over Micic."

A la Macho Grande

Could micic play any shred of defense?

spectre

This group not doing too bad

Eastley

This micicless lineup is so much more active across the 5

TJ was a good draft pick imo. He's been quite a revelation for me

Miles end of half with the possession and decision in his hands, that was going to entertain no matter what. And not Hornets fans

we should let bridges hold for the last shot more often

27 million dollar man with 3 points 3 TOs. We’ll be lucky to get an expiring

Maybe you can bundle him with Micic to Denver

I'd do that for MPJ even if he's got some issues

Mich_Mercer

I’d do that deal 20 times.

Eastley

They'd want a pick too

spectre

I like Jeffries

I questioned helping out in that trade but it sure looks like a decent move

At this point Jeffries needs to be in the rotation he is providing value on both ends

Guy has looked legit every game he has played

That's a flagrant if it's us.

spectre

100%

DemonDeaCat

For sure. He had him wrapped around the neck.

Eastley

Irrespective of that, it was no play on the ball

Bridges is such a disaster

spectre

Hahahaha

It does suck tho he’s killing any value

Eastley

Indeed

What was bridges doing there? Zero chance of stopping him. Every likelihood of a foul call

spectre

He just can’t help himself

We need a dose of those empty stats like he used to put up. That lures people to think he’s better

DemonDeaCat

I have no idea how the NBA defines continuation anymore. Guys get fouled seemingly in the act of shooting a 3 and it’s side out. Maxey took three steps after the contact and it’s an and 1.

Eastley

Disagree on that. Miles slapped his arm a step from the basket. It was an easy and-1 call

I guess I saw something different on that Maxey foul. Looked to me like the contact came before.

Ah, on the touch at the top of the key by Josh? they weren’t calling a foul on that.

Yeah, the initial contact on the swipe is what I thought they called. If the foul call was on subsequent contact, that makes more sense. But my broader point was that I feel like what is or isn’t continuation on drives, or what’s considered on the gather vs. on the shot on jumpshots are among the most inconsistently called plays throughout the league. Wong’s 3 in the second half certainly appeared to occur while he was in his shooting motion, but was ruled side out. It’s about like trying to figure out what is or isn’t a catch in the NFL.

Merry Christmas to the hardest core fans in all of sports. And when Santa squeezes his fat a$$ down the chimney to delivery that chip he is going to find the loy-loy-loyalist bunch of folks this side of the nut house
