Game 71: MEM at CHA

Game chat: #Game 71: MEM at CHA - Chat - Hornets Planet

This is my anxious face

Great night. Hornets win. Heat and Magic lose on last second shots in the 4th quarter.

1.5 games back from Atlanta, Orlando, Philly, Miami tied for 6th. Hornets hold the tiebreaker over everyone else except for Miami.

Tough schedule rest of the way for us, sucks that somehow as soon as we catch up to everybody that the entire 5-10 seeds in the East are all hot

Did we have a hornets legend, Taj Gibson sighting last night??

I wasn’t aware he was playing anywhere. Good to see him out there.

Keep winning these easy games and we could really move up the standings. I just hope they come to play tonight.

Don't let this team hang around.

That's a little better.

cltblkhscoach

It's been a little ragged of a game, hard to get a flow going

Magic Hawks and Heat could lose today, so it is an absolute win for us. If this happens, we could be so close.

Guys where the hell is Kon

He is not out there to start 2nd half

Oh never mind, he JUST ran out

Didn't get a single warmup shot or anything, first time all year

I mean if he was 20 seconds later he wouldn't have made it, weird

cltblkhscoach

Maybe changing his shoes. Lol

1-5 in the first half

Grizzlies won't go away man. Sheesh

Glad they still honor Rick Bonnell. Class guy

Chef

I remember us being really not nice to him. In retrospect, he was pretty accurate in his reporting.

dnbman

Yeah, he was definitely unfairly judged compared to the Twittersphere. It was kind of downer to watch that.

cltblkhscoach

I always respected him. I read his book he wrote about the 92-93 season. I asked him if he would ever write another one and he absolutely not. Lol

I don't know why we have Xtillman when we could've had had Mason or Taj. Maybe Coach Lee is having him mentor someone based on his experience from Celtics

Chef

It was a tough time in the 00's. Newspapers and old school journalism was dying a quick death to the Internet and blogs/non traditional reporting. Alot of his stuff was definitely grumpy in terms of interaction with fans. Kinda a "how dare you" type tone

cltblkhscoach

I think it was a gift and a curse being the real only Hornets guy in the league for so long

Chef

Looking back, I now miss real journalist reporters. They were so much better than the retired athletes we get now

Chef, that is so true

Chef

That was a crazy story about that grizzly player. He is considered the best college lacrosse player ever and is now an NBA player moonlighting on the tanking grizz. What an athlete

cltblkhscoach

Rick also knew the draft prospects really well. He advocated for SGA and Devin Booker to the Hornets. He's been proven right over time

Professional win tonight

Lakers just beat Orlando!

Rockets just beat the Heat!
