Game 59: WAS at CHA

Even Chick-fil-A feels sorry for us. Lol

Jeff Peterson 's first draft pick was Tidjane. I don’t trust him to pick anyone right now. Just get some proven NBA guys to lift our floor then go from there.

I can’t stand people who try to prove they are smarter than everyone else. We need singles and doubles on this roster not swinging for the fences and praying.

Amen brother.

100000% agree that was the kind of pic you make when your team is already solid snd you can afford to take a gamble. I really hope this pick humbles him

Note: if the rumor was true that clifford was in peterson ear about this pick… fire him again

Draft some high floor players who have played productive ball. Forget the big swings at project players who may never develop. At this point competing for the play-in would be a success.

And again, and again, and again, until it sticks

I am not a gambling man, but if I had to bet Clifford would pick Wiseman over Lamelo if he could…

He never seemed to like the young bigs much that I recall. I can’t imagine him being a guy to want Wiseman. I could see him more Haliburton than Melo but think that particular draft goes chalk if he was making the call.

Preach coach. I so very much agree with this. It’s why I wanted Knecht to be the pick. Super athletic guy, can score, shoot. Has the physical build to handle the pro game. Has holes in his game? Yeah, but it was a very bad draft year. Take the known commodity, and don’t get cute.

Well, hornets got cute with it by selecting Salaun. And it was just an odd pick because this new front office had seemingly made all the right moves and necessary decisions-up until that point. Had really proven to separate from the hornets ā€œold guardā€, and typical decision making that had always gotten the team in trouble.

I would be shocked if Salaun worked out in any manner. I hope for the best and Salaun is really young. Blah blah blah, generic platitudes, etc. Good kid though.
