We need a real Moana on this team. Someone that can defeat a true lava monster. Someone that can restore the heart of this team.

Not to derail the thread, but i have 6 kids in my living room watching Mitchell’s vs the Machines on Netflix. It is really good.

Seeing the Lakers get eliminated will never not be sweet

Anytime Lebron loses, it is a good day for me.

Boooo…

Hate the Lakers not LBJ. That guy has transcended basketball into American excellence. You might as well hate on Dolly Parton and apple pie too. Just saying.

Lakers v Miami would have been GREAT for ratings. I would like to see Jimmy win it all to prove his critics wrong but I won’t be mad if Denver wins. Denver winning would be spectacular from a pure sports fan perspective but not nearly as sexy as a NY, Philly, Miami, GS, Lakers etc win to the general public. I think I might even throw Dallas and DC in there too as capturing the public’s and media’s hearts by winning it all.

You misspelled Michael Jordan

Yeah this is kinda unpopular for the board but I’m like Lebron neutral, neither a fan nor a hater

I wouldn’t classify myself as a hater, although I don’t know that I’m exactly neutral either. I definitely respect his talent. He’s obviously an all-time great. I greatly admire his social consciousness and the way he’s used his platform. He is a bit of a drama-queen though and if there’s a negative lean, it probably began with “The Decision”, however in fairness, I’m sure he’s matured quite a bit since then.

But it’s really the mystique of Lebron that bothers me more than the man himself. I do find the GOAT narrative that has been pushed the past few years to be somewhat annoying, particularly when it’s pushed by 30-somethings who only know Jordan through YouTube and weren’t around to see the totality of his career first hand. The combination of that plus the whole Lakers media love-fest that Malone referenced is just a lot. I mean, I get it, but it’s still a bit annoying.

I’m not a Lebron hater either. I’m also pretty neutral, and in fact, respect Lebron. Until I tell Lebron people that I still think Michael Jordan is the best to do it, and at that point I’m a Lebron hater.

So it’s all about what camp the other party is in on the issue.

I would say this is exactly how I feel though perhaps more favorably. I don’t like the flops and the preening, but generally I appreciate the guy.

This EC Finals series is bonkers.

Tough to project Boston not winning on Monday

I am also ecstatic that ESPN got a sweep. I know it’s not good for the soul to be negative. Sorry, not sorry

Watching Caleb Martin gives me a lot of hope about Cody. I really hope he can come back healthy and we can get this kind of play for us.

I think it’s time to say it. We made a mistake giving up on Caleb.

It may be Caleb had to go play in Miami to become the player that he is now. Who knows?

Caleb deserved to get the conference final MVP.

Every player the Heat touches just fits perfectly. I do doubt Caleb would have been this good for us… Cody was always the better player though. Sucks we kept the one who had to get hurt… I just don’t think any team needs both of them.

I do wonder, if we gave the Heat and Spulstra, our team… how much better would we be?

I don’t know. The situation obviously makes a difference, but I thought even in limited opportunities there were moments where Caleb flashed potential to be a good two way player when he was with us. I didn’t predict him being a 20pt scorer in a conference final, but I was high on both Cody and Caleb and was disappointed when we let him go.
