Cleveland’s sheer size is always tough to deal with…wait hold on…
Hornets are currently Hornetsing….
Ah yes, there it is, along with Salaun being out, Nick Richards and Moussa Diabate are also out today.
Either Mark will have to start playing over 25 minutes now, or Taj will need oxygen on the bench for his extended minutes. Is there anyone else tall on our roster?
Can’t imagine Mark getting over 15 minutes. Injuries just keep piling up. Top 3 pick would be good.
I predict we’re gonna break the record for 3 point attempts. Only chance.
Cody plays center some today?
Micic
Curry
Miller
Bridges
Cody
7 seconds or less
Just logging on, what the heck… So Marc plays 11 minutes and gets 12 points and five boards?
Great effort from the guys available. Williams rehab is a bit strange. I certainly understand limiting his minutes. Don’t quite get the no second half time.
I was more commenting on the fact that that’s pretty amazing that he had that effect in 11 minutes.
I Think they will take the bubble wrap off in the next four or five games and he will be starting
So according to the box score, Gibson and Williams combined for 38 minutes.
Who was the big for those other 10 minutes? 6’6" 205 lb Cody Martin?
Cody and Jeffries I’d say
From what I watched, the size of course was a mismatch. We all knew that going in. To me the biggest issue was a complete lack of offensive philosophy/plan to get good shots. As far as I can tell thus far, this is pretty standard with coach Lee.
Melo makes a whole lot of lemonade out of a bowl full of lemons. Just a whole lot of DHO’s and 2 dribble drive in kicks into iso 3’s.
Especially concerning miller, Cody, Lee and Miles, there is no action or emphasis to get to “your spot” somewhere between 6 and 15 ft from the rim. Even if you still want 3’s, this puts enormous pressure on the defense to have to collapse in on you which opens up the outside and allows actual drives to the rim when you don’t have a prime James harden type who can iso to the rim.
I see the same thing. We make it way too easy for the defense on the perimeter. I think we/I am probably overestimating what he’s got to work with so getting Mark will certainly help.
I’m surprised it’s like that considering him coming from Boston.
