Hornets 2025-26 Season

This is where I’m at. Lamelo is extremely talented. But that doesn’t matter if he not on the floor. Year six and the injuries haven’t gotten better. I think it’s time to move on.

Ah yes the anonymous Western Conference Scout trying to damage Lamelo’s trade value. Rinse and repeat. The main issue is the right ankle. By ALL accounts Lamelo takes basketball, workouts and everything else incredibly seriously so this is another lazy narrative-driven take IMO.

But if he has a bum right ankle after that initial surgery then is that a character flaw? Lol

I mean this in only a sports way and not a personal attack.

Oh please stop. You can be a fan but need to recognize this player for glass body and love of the game issues can not be relied on to take your team anywhere. Can he be the extra piece that gets you over the top, sure but he just can’t be your lead dog.

But Chef saying he doesn’t take basketball seriously is just stupid and contradicts everything we have heard locally which was my point

People are going to continue to say that about Melo until he can play for longer stretches consistently and actually leads us to winning something.

That’s how you kill a narrative, not what coaches and other players say. It’s got to be something tangible that’s done, period.

We are the Charlotte Hornets, we have zero grace given to us and we’re a laughing stock. Either we roll over and accept it or do something about it.

I have yet to observe melo be upset at any of his fashion shows…err..missed games. Brandon on the other hand has perpetual stank face sitting there watching them place.

Not related to comparing Brandon to Melo but coincidentally, my eldest said something about his angry face last night and I responded by saying that I think it’s just that he’s super pissed he’s not out there.

Yup. I am partly venting because I am way over melo but there is (and last year) a distinct difference in affect between them when they DNP

I don’t think any judgments are needed one way or the other beyond recognizing that are star player can’t reliably stay on the court. Now, many of us may be acting a bit dramatic about the current situation given the frustration of the last few years. However, there comes a point where it doesn’t matter if it’s Melo or just Lady Luck. Either way, we need some reliable players to move forward. I’d rather have less talented players that make it through a season routinely. At least then you could build something.

Kalk is the current leading NBA shot blocker that doesn’t have the last name Wembanyama.

They’re 15-26 in those 41 games BTW.

They just need time to develop chemistry. Another 173 games and they’ll have a full season together

Fun stuff. Trying to enjoy the positives…

Rookies are exciting for sure. Kalk seems to obviously be a player, and Sion is looking pretty great too. If Liam turns out, this would be a pretty incredible draft class.

Man, this team is really making me feel, why the hell should we shell out money year after year for this product.

Why are you posting a tweet from last season?

Ankle impingement. He’s cooked

I hate being a Hornets fan….

They need to go ahead and do the surgery.
