I’m going to try being more positive for the rest of the season.

As a true basketball fan, I’m honored that I get to witness Frank Ntilikina’s last season playing ball in the NBA before he goes overseas to play in Europe or China. Maybe if he ever gets a G League call ever again, I can say, “Yeah! Frank wandered around the court for a 10 win Hornets team since Mitch thought he was actually going to be a viable option for backup PG. Which made him a top 10 Hornets PG of all time!”
&#$^&* Steve Clifford has to go and let us take the rest of this season to start looking for a replacement if it turns out there is not one in house!

Like coach says not worth it right after his extension.
He’s not hurting us salary wise and at this stage no realistic option out there has us coming out on top.
Losing and playing disorganized like we have been forces players to not give a damn after the stretch we’ve had (basically Melos whole pro career) so I don’t even blame him for that really. We just have to hope a regime change top to bottom can reverse it…which I feel sure it will.
With the ticket price jump we need to keep him as a lot of nights he’s the only thing making us worth watching.
Wish we could get in Dell’s ear and suggest him getting Melo and Steph together. Just think of all the good that could happen there.
After all this…end of next season maybe…if he hasn’t shown progression then I start listening to offers.
One thing we don’t hav to worry about is Melo being leader. I feel like 24 will have that covered.
If the warriors are floating cp3 and you could flip Hayward for cp3 and a first to get them salary relief… keep Paul until next year then trade him as an expiring or even buy him out (tell him now) for the price of mentoring melo, I would definitely do that
I would do this too but I have a feeling that Chris Paul would pull some BS here. Also I am not down on Lamelo like a lot of people are becoming. We have legitimately not won a game without him in the lineup this season haha.
Does he need to get better? Yes. Is he 22? Yes. There is no way you can get a player or draft capital that is equal to his value to the franchise both on and off the court. Love Miller but Lamelo has made this franchise more relevant than it has been in a long long time internationally. I remember people being frustrated with Steph Currys injuries too and look how that turns out. Keep the faith.
Personally, I don’t see bringing a vet PG in to mentor LaMelo as an indictment on Melo. I see it as a providing an extra tool to help develop our young potential superstar point guard into the player he has the ability to become
Well if it CP3 that comes in, he can sit on the bench beside Melo and they can talk about all the games they miss.

I know young guys are what they are, but McGowens is a huge disappointment, Bouknight is trash, and Melo has the “too cool to care” attitude and that pisses me off the most.
