Hope you are right Potato.

Dean is super high on him

Our number 3 pick was ranked 21 out of highschool

Our number 32 pick ranked 6th

Maybe a dumb question, but does this change our thoughts on Biz??

Interesting that Oturu and Tillman both go right after - think we were all around it. Wondering if the weight loss and self-starting (which is how I read into that) nature is something that we like from a 2nd rounder maturity perspective. I had myself convinced based on Mitch’s comments that we were looking at a 4 year guy.

Now we turn our attention to #56 or potentially cash considerations. If Reed is still standing there, do we take him? For the Duke guys, will Stanley fall that far and is he worth the pick?

Joe… sniper

You thinking he can fall that far? I thought he was going to be gone before #32 so maybe I have a bad, bad read on his value.

Gross, not a fan of his at all

I thought they traded that pick to the Bucks as part of the Jrue deal

The evil Koach Kay’s assessment of Big Vern:

Carey has a particular issue in that he’s seen as a classic post player with relatively average athleticism. He was the best freshman in the country last season but the NBA has changed.

Is it a fair assessment though?

Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski doesn’t think so.

“He has become a much better passer. I don’t know who I’d compare him to because if you start doing that you start pigeonholing him. He’s 18-19, let him become who he is… He can face. He can pick and pop, he doesn’t just have to pick and roll. He’s not like [Jahlil Okafor, Wendell Carter or Marvin Bagley] Especially Wendell, those guys never faced the basket. He’s the best low post player in college. Wendell was learning that. Vernon already has that. He’s not the athlete Bagley is but he’s his own guy. He’s in that mix is what I’m trying to say.”

Odd that SI had Richards going to us at #56. At 23 years old, that is the Mitch reference to a 4 year guy I guess.

Wonder if that is sending #56 to the Pels with some cash.

I’m hoping that the Hornets aren’t trading Carey for Nick.

Don’t think so, this was seconds ago.

Damn, that’s not who I wanted to see going to the Sixers. I’ll take solace that they aren’t in our division.

Shoot, Riller - not bad, I’ll take that.

This was quite a good draft for us. I really dig it.

We still don’t have the details of the NO trade yet. I’m holding judgement for that, but overall I agree.
