Here’s a round-up of CBS, Athletic, and Ringer’s mock draft/draft guide order as of Jun 24.

CBS (Fink) CBS (Boone) Ringer (Mann) Athletic (Vecinie)
Flagg Flagg Flagg Flagg
Harper Harper Harper Harper
Johnson Bailey Knueppel Edgecombe
Edgecombe Edgecombe Johnson Knueppel
Knueppel Johnson Edgecombe Fears
Bailey Fears Bailey Bailey
Fears Knueppel Jaku Johnson
Maluach Jaku Queen Jaku
Jaku Maluach Coward Maluach
Murray-Bowles Murray-Bowles Bryant Queen
Bryant Demin Sorber Essengue
Essengue Queen Murray-Bowles Bryant
Beringer Richardson Wolf Beringer
Coward McNeeley Maluach Coward

I’m guessing BKN is gathering assets, trying to get to 3. If that doesn’t happen, and Bailey is still there, we should try to make a trade. Or, just go ahead and draft Bailey and trade him to the highest bidder

Here’s my top 20 on my big board. Not predicted draft order, just big board.

  1. Flagg
  2. Harper
  3. Edgecombe
  4. Johnson
  5. Bailey
  6. Kneuppel
  7. Queen
  8. Bryant
  9. Jakucionis
  10. Fears
  11. Maluach
  12. Clifford
  13. Coward
  14. CMB
  15. Demin
  16. Fleming
  17. Sorber
  18. McNeely
  19. Essengue
  20. Wolf

:+1: Yeah they are clearly preparing to make a move!

I’m pretty similar within the lottery. Good to see you have Bryant that high, I’d love him as a trade back option.

The two biggest differences would be 1. I’d drop Queen, though knew you’d rate him from the Sengun draft days, a few spots lower and 2. Fears would be a few spots higher.

I want Ace Bailey, I think he has potential to be the biggest difference maker for us in our range. Also I just found this thread lol been looking for a draft thread for 2 months so I feel dumb lol

Pretty similar to mine though, I would swap Fears and Queen

I am also going to guess that we want Bailey and that we are trying to make it seem like we don’t so that teams think they will have a chance to get them by trading with us so that they don’t go and trade with Philly to take Bailey for themselves. Hence all of the Kon noise.

Just a guess. Also Evan Sidery is an absolute propaganda machine through some other guy Barlowe

Yeah, I think I may be a little higher on Queen that some. I totally get why others may be a little lower. It’s more of my bias for really wanting his skill to translate to the NBA. I’m a sucker for a post guy who can do a bit of everything.

And as someone else said above, I was a Sengun advocate in the past. Guilty as charged for the Sengun association with Queen. Though, I see a little bit of Boogie Cousins in Queen also.

I’m very low on Maluach and could have put him lower to be honest. I’ve always listed out why I’m “underwhelmed” with him.

I like the idea of Fears. I’m also just out in general on smaller, shorter combo guards. I’m also quite low on Jace Richardson. If a smaller is small, the better be a REALLY good shooter to make it. Or a physically stout Brunson type.

We draft Maluach this year after passing on Clingan and Edey last year… I will be livid

Said this in another thread, but if Bailey is there at 4, we have to take him. Even with the recent craziness, the ceiling is way too high and we don’t get talent like that coming to Charlotte often. Ball, Miller and Bailey is pretty sick.

Is this more of a comp for who Cousins was toward the end of his career vs him coming out of school? I don’t know much in Queen but thought he was great but limited. Limited on defensive ability, on long range shooting. Yet a great offensive pivot.

He seems interesting for back of the lottery.

Maluach would be the only player I’ve seen mentioned in the top of the lottery that I’d lose it on, I’d we drafted, as well. I see no world where it makes sense for us to draft him. … so I guess we should prepare for it unfortunately

If we take Jeremiah Fears I’ll lose my mind

I would just sell your LaMelo stock before you lose your mind.

If we do grab Bailey at 4 - we’ll have 5-8 to wonder if he stays or is part of something else. If we are keeping him - id expect a media session fairly quickly. Happy draft day folks.

Yeah and that’s the problem. Is how to construct a roster around him that will limit his defensive liability. Houston did it with Sengun. It’s definitely not ideal. I think Sabonis in Sacramento may be a decent comp as well. If this draft had better big man depth I don’t know if he’d be so high.

I’m 100% biased because of my Sengun admiration. I own that.

Surprise pick… Kasparas Jakucionis!
