Hope we keep Taj as a lockerroom guy if he doesn’t plan on retiring

Just watched Jeff Peterson. It’s obvious the rescinded trade is still a sore spot, he didn’t want to comment on it at all outside of thanking Mark for his attitude in the situation.

At the same time, he didn’t sound too committed to anyone outside of Melo, Miller, Nick Smith Jr, & Moussa. That could just be a result of the questions he got, but he talked about those guys specifically in his time.

Jeff did mention Tidjane too. Said he’s about where they expected him to be being so young.

Charles Lee said we need to be stronger and better conditioned and it starts right now. Like that conviction

Love that the only guy that didn’t get the memo on the LAL questions was Scott “busy covering his version of my-UNC and golf” Fowler. So on brand.

Man, Mark doesn’t give the impression he’s back next year

Honestly I would love to have Mark back next year, but would understand why he’d want to leave

Yes, run it back with LaMelo

These exit interviews convince me we have such a great group of guys.

Watch the exits. Taj, Brandon, Lee, Peterson, Seth

I really appreciated Taj’s interview. Granted, as he said, he’s just happy a team wants to keep him, but still he didn’t have to gush as much as he did about the Hornets.

He looked weird at the end of the Celtics game yesterday too. Definitely could be a promise to try and find him a new home now.

I expect him to be traded. I think LaMelo and Miller are locks to be back. Everyone else is available. That said, I don’t look for a lot of movement other than Mark. Not that I’m all for moving him. I just think the relationship between him and the organization is damaged.

Really the stories about Bud and Malone, it seems we have a good one in Lee that he gets on great with the players.

Ok then do you mean great group of guys vs great group of basketball players?

I just don’t understand the disconnect between the professionals and most fans that this is a group worth hanging onto and “we are almost there” vs the continual bottom 3-8 team in the league.

They may be great guys but they seem to be terrible at winning basketball games

Just commenting on them being really engaging personalities. It really popped off the screen significantly with Lee, Brandon, Seth, and Mark in a strange and sympathetic way too

It’s the same broken record we’ve been playing for the past 3 years or so, but it remains true. We aren’t bottom 3-8 in the league due to talent. Our inability to win has been mostly due to guys not being available. Now if we want to say we don’t trust that this group can get/stay healthy and therefore we need to move on based on that, that’s fair. But for fans to look at the core of Melo, Mark, Miles, and Miller surrounded by pieces like Mann, Grant, Moussa, Nurk, NSJ etc. and say, hey I’d love to see what this group could actually do if they got to play a full season together…I don’t think that’s ridiculous either.

I wonder if we can trick a team into giving us something nice for Mark. I know I’ve pointed this stat out all season: He finished 9th in player efficiency rating, basically among the league’s superstars(+Daniel Gafford).

He didn’t so much pass the eye test for us, but some stathead GM might buy into him and his potential.

If there were a stat for least blocked shots per possession per inch of reach/wingspan, Mark’s 2024/25 campaign might be a frontrunner.
