I hate modern NBA draft stuff. The pick swap, criteria surrounding who owns the rights to what pick, etc. Look at this. In addition to our own 1st round pick, we have this one. Explain this to me. I’m going to have to run it through ChatGPT with the request of “explain it to me like I’m five years old.”

Okay. So we get *least* favorable of PHX, WAS, ORL, or MEM. But, the ORL pick is protected 1-8 in the case that the ORL pick turns out to be the worst. Right? Granted, that’s an impossible situation, but that’s how I read it.
So it’ll end up being the PHX 1st round pick around 20 or so.
