We’re back for another season of depressing basketball
Deggamn, not even cheery before the season opening tip?
HEY MAN YOU ARE ONE OF THE HOPEFUL AND CHEERY ONES WHAT HAPPENED
I am going to be loud and proud tonight from 115
I have courtside seats…from my couch.
Well, I have two cheap bets on the game that will never work. Kon: 20 or more points and 4 or more threes at +2500. And Sexton with 3 or more threes, Kon 15 points or more, and Kalk with 12 points or more at +15000. Not too crazy, but a little crazy.
That reminds me I should take Moussa double double
Geez, feel like I should be able to get this site sponsored by FanDuel
I tend to put a few dollars down on the first few games, rarely win, and then stop throwing money away haha. The excitement of the season always gets me. It’s always a little easier to get ahead of the sportsbooks on new players early in the season when no one really knows what to expect. Then after that, they tend to lock down and tighten up.
For any old school antenna-using cable-cutting warriors out there, the game is available on WSOC TV channel 9 tonight. Feels like old times. Enjoy it while you can.
Don’t worry, I’ve been drinking the Kool-Aid plenty, especially the Moussa Diabate Kool-Aid. I think this will end up being a fun year and I got a gut feeling everybody will finally be sorta healthy.
What a great game tonight, a lot to be excited about as a fan. Kalkbrenner looked awesome for stretches, the offense was humming and everyone was hitting shots, even TJ had some good moments. We won’t be playing the Nets every night but this will be a team that has a punchers chance against anyone in the league.
Awesome game to go to! Always seem to win the home opener, trick us into thinking that this is our year, and then pulling the trap door on us. But this years different!!
Arena updates look really nice. Everything looked fresh, bright, clean. I like the new seats, and easier way of getting food.
Shocked that 2 rookies were starting. But with the priority being Melo and Miller, you put the floor spacer in to supplement those two. Melo puts such pressure on defenders not only with his 3 point shooting, but his drives will either be a crafty lay in, or a high flying alley right on the back of your head. Seemed to have about 4 in a row in the 1st half.
Miller seemed to have an easy 25, cause it didn’t seem like his shot was going in too well. A lot of alleys from Melo, but if his shot was on, would’ve easily eclipsed 30. 7 assists was awesome.
Really love Collins injection of energy into this team. There are no lulls with him. If the lane is open, he’s taking off, even 80 feet away from the basket.
Kalk’s size was really noticeable, he just affects so much down low. And the guys feel comfortable just throwing it up high to him, whether on inbounds, or just as an always there option on offense for layups. Just some quicker feet and stronger upper body work, he’ll be such a load to deal with.
Also love having 9 players in double figures, I don’t know if we’ve done that before, but I’m sure EC probably had the stats on the broadcast. Our offense looks really good. Defense has potential, there were quite a few lulls, and the refs didn’t allow us to play physical (especially with that annoying free throw merchant Cam Thomas).
This validates what we saw in the preseason a little bit. Even though the Nets are not very good, they played very hard for Jordi, Demin looks promising, and their bigs seem pretty solid.

Kon does not function as a rookie with ball dominant and scoring focused vets. He is a spacer and set up man and he is so advanced as a 19 year old. In this age of basketball he is almost a unicorn. Somehow he made it through the youth basketball machine understanding how to play basketball not just DHO or drive and kick for a three. If there were an award for Most Valuable Cog, he would be -5000 to get it for the hornets.
Collins is the perfect arch type of what rozier was supposed to be not just for melo but for tre mann too.
In college is offensive efficiency ratings were elite. I love that this guys knows ball. I’m so glad we selected Kon over Ace. Completely different kinds of basketball.
