Mark and PJ out tonight. Thor gonna be our backup C?
Heaven forbid it’s Mensa
The Cody Zeller game
How are the spurs +4.5 and the hornets +9.5
That has to be Vegas controlling action on the spurs/Lakers more than what they really think the spread is. That is an all day Lakers bet, right?
Bridges and Rozier with a lot of love for Borrego after the game

Not surprised. I think we let go of the far better coach. We just refused to give him the players he needed.
Ready for the team cheer:
When I say MORAL you say VICTORY!
MORAL…
Clifford has taken veiled shots at Borrego when he talks about teams getting to the play-in and not having a defensive philosophy and getting drilled.
That being said, that was the last real time this group was together for an extended period of time. Borrego, definitely better offensively. Cliff, better defensively.
But, for us, Borrego was like Allan Bristow for Hornets historians. Young coach with a promising young core but had flaws. Bristow was criticized for a lack of a clear offensive strategy and critical decisions in close games.
If you look at the numbers, Clifford was only a better defensive coach one season, the 2016 playoff season. All the rest, he wasn’t appreciably better than JB. And this last two years, he’s been a significantly worse defensive coach than JB.
That’s not necessarily fair though, especially the last two years with all the injuries
JB never had a defensive center outside of Biz whom he had to balance out his defensive quality vs. his Eitri-esque hands on offense (and that wasn’t even his best defensive year - that came the year after the let Biz walk I believe). Additionally, he had the same defensive rankings with Terry and Devonte’ compared to what Clifford has had the last two years, even with injuries. Injuries included, Clifford has had better talent to compete with on the defensive end compared to JB and has fared notably worse. I don’t buy he’s a defensive coaching savant, I think folks lauding his defensive chops are just acknowledging his offensive allergies.
Why isn’t James Bouknight getting any burn with this lost roster and a season that is by all intents and purposes over?! When we are down 30+ heading into the second half tonight, what is the harm in playing James Bouknight solid minutes?
Hands down JB is a much better all around coach. Ask Miles and Terry after the game last night.
