Cam Thomas scoring extremely well let’s hope we can cool him down
Game chat
Why isn’t this the game thread?
Someone delete the other game thread I made. I did not see this one. Sorry I made a new one.
Your wish is my command
Haha thanks man. I felt mine was more bitching about Bally. I’ll put all my bitching here or in the chat. I still can not watch.
Miller is the real deal. He’s just a well rounded player, doesn’t seem to force anything, lets the game come to him. Lamelo was bad tonight, really bad. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was sick or has an injury as mentioned in chat. But please, convince me this team isn’t as bad as the last 2 games makes me think it is.
Lamelo is very obviously not 100%
Its sad to see but I would rather him get right first before we oush him to another injury. He was heavily favoring right ankle/foot.
It didn’t look to me like the team came out ready to play. No excuse for that. Please fire everyone with ‘Coach’ in front of their name. The GM too, thanks.
What is Thor doing for us?
Theo plays hard and has grit. Can’t shoot-it though.
So Gordon and PJ miss easy layups right after the opening tip…I’m worried that’s a bad omen for the game….and it was.
Why did Cliff bench Mark? We had a clear, huge advantage in the paint. Use it sheesh.
Are we ever going to see this team at full strength? It’s so frustrating because it’s always SOMETHING. Bridges suspended, Cody Martin out indefinitely with no explanation - those two back would improve the bench a good bit.
The one thing I want our new owners to look at is our damn training staff. I don’t know what our players do to have someone always out, but I hope sports medicine is a major investment into the franchise.

Flu bug
I suspected that but looks like there is a bug going around team.
Thanks for the info. He just looked so out of sorts. More than rust. I noticed McGowans was in uniform last night. Surprised we didn’t see him.
Really cool being able to see the chat in the game thread. Going through it, seems Melo is now getting that extra scrutiny that comes with a higher paycheck.
He’s definitely been rough, but goes from fan favorite burgeoning star, to now the target of frustration and responsibility of team woes. Not saying any of it’s wrong, but a definite, noticeable shift now that he got his bag.
But I do think he should get some grace, when he’s healthy and on, the teams energy and fortunes change tremendously. His magic can definitely influence a game when everything is running, and I still think he can be an All-NBA type player.
And getting comfortable and developing a good rhythm and feel with Mark and Miller will unlock more parts of his game.
Miller looked awesome last night, 22 and 9 in his 3rd game, saw he only got 2 assists but looked like he should’ve had 5 or 6. Really good defense down the stretch, had a couple deflections and caused turnovers, awesome come from behind block on Cam Thomas.
Nets were hitting crazy difficulty shots. All the off balance floaters and runners kept finding their way, Dorian Finney-Curry was hitting everything. And Cam, I knew he was a good scorer, didn’t realize he was of the unguardable variety though. Wish we could’ve tried to trade for him when he seemed he was in their dog house last year.
And the flu bug going around the team makes sense from the extreme lack of energy to start the game. You can’t let yourself get blitzed right off and have to fight up hill the whole game.
I didn’t like how Mark got benched in 4th. He was so dominant in the beginning. I realize the matchups weren’t great, but the Nets were still getting open 3s even when we went small. At least we would’ve gotten some more offensive rebounds are had an interior defensive presence if he was in there, could’ve maybe offered some resistance.
Would love to have a scorer like Cam Thomas. That guy can score from anywhere in anyway. Impressive.
