ORL coming off a loss in DET, where their shooting woes continue, and us coming off a loss where we just looked frustrated in MIA. I got my bets on the good guys locking down the Magicians and sending them home pissed.
Miller out according to Hornets PR. May be a tall ask - but hoping we can have a tick more transparency on our player’s injuries this season. Still hoping for the best here.

Our team is cursed and besides that if coach Lee substitutes players that make good sized runs to get back into games we are close in only to see our subs squander any kind of runs we make we for sure aren’t going to win games like that. Also based on Hornets history is it any wonder teams struggling end their suffering against us, New players but the same results. The more things change the more we see they stay the same! I predict that at this rate we will lucky to win 25 games all season if something doesn’t change. Is that something the head coach? I don’t know but we shall see.

1Kon was doomed with that lineup. There was zero action out side of him. Sion, kaulk and miles murdered kons game. Then melo went hero ball.
The other lineup that has to go is moose, miles, Sion, tre and Liam. Tre, Sion and miles can’t be on the floor at the same time

The problem is, there is no other lineup. Yes, we have rookies who are beyond their years, but…we feature 4 rookies with a heavy ish load. Salaun and Diabate are basically just as inexperienced. The only vets we have out there were Melo, Miles, Mann, and Sexton.
There is nothing to mix and match. Until we get Brandon and Grant back, I guess Josh too, the majority of guys we’re relying on have very limited experience.
A burly bruiser PF is the needed prescription for the team, Miles (or should we start calling him Half-Miles since he only shows up in the second half) can’t cut it for a faux big. That spot is the biggest glaring hole we have.
Also, we’re the only team in the league that still doesn’t employ a center that shoots a 3. They’ve emphasized searching for one every year since Zeller, they tricked us with videos of Mark and Kalk nailing 3s during the pre draft process, and none of them even look at the rim.
Byron Mullens was truly ahead of his time. He’d be in shooting heaven right now.
This is where coaching needs to come into the equation. If dummies like us can point this stuff out, they have to understand the limitations of the roster. Given this, why aren’t you running more constricted sets in terms of player freedom etc. I am not saying a college or highschool style motion set but an adaptation for young pros. Something that puts young players into a position for success. And gets low bbiq players like miles moving.
Founding is correct on kon. He is slow and isn’t going to beat a defense head on when he becomes part of the scouting report. It doesn’t mean he can’t still be good. The coaches have to figure out how to get players like him in positions to succeed.
Yup, going to have to involve him in the offense a hell of a lot more than last night and not in the positions we put him in.

Man these last 2 games have been deflating. I know BKN and WAS weren’t good teams, but we don’t even resemble the same team that played the first 3 games in terms of defensive intensity, ball movement and shot selection.
Agreed, and even though a bit undersized, Grant was filling this role fairly well for us. We’ve really missed him since he’s been hurt. Have we heard a return date on him? Gotta be close.
Though I’ve warmed up to Kon quite a bit, this is still a true statement. The question with him was always about ceiling. The true high ceiling guys aren’t lineup dependent and don’t require a scheme to get them involved. But at worst he’s giving high end complimentary guy, which is fine. Besides, he’s definitely not problem.
I feel like we’ve got some decent individual pieces but we can’t seem to bring them all into alignment as a cohesive group. Despite the early season mirage we’re back to looking like a bad AAU team, just like last year, and that’s on Lee.
Man, what at this point makes you think he’s a winning player? I have never seen it and certainly don’t in Sacramento.
