Hornets 2025-26 Season

Lillard in the 3pt contest. Make it make sense.

I hear ya.

It’s the only way to stop losing on purpose completely.

Even lottery odds for non playoff teams would solve about 80% of the problem and relegate any notion of tanking to the 10th seed which would be so blatant and damaging the NBA would have to step in.

If they did this…. I’d have to see them pick the balls live. I would not trust it.

I almost shared this here too.. I didn’t want to keeping brining up Lebron. Thanks for sharing.

Angry Old Hoops is good stuff.

It’s so true though. The product we are given to watch has devolved. I don’t necessarily want the 90’s basketball back but given the choice between right now and then, I choose then.

Personally, the perfect blend between the two was probably 2007-2016.

Totally.. I really miss the inside game and skill in general. And it was so much harder to score back then, which inflates all the numbers today. I always wonder how many 3s Glen Rice or Dell could have hit if they played today.

HUGE game tonight. Heard there’s gonna be one heck of a crowd for a Monday. Man the Detroit vs Hornets matchup really changed over the last 3 seasons lol.

I think the hornets match up decently with the Pistons

We do but every time we play them they are allowed to hold us and hack us. We are a more mature team now though. We will see what happens.

Gotta man up

Hornets just brought back PatConnaughton. I guess we did have a roster spot left.

Branham was waived - so that gets us to 15 & we keep our biggest bench cheerleader!

I feel like Detroit normally kills us.

Not the usual suspects but the rando hornets law guy. Always that guy

So what did end up getting out of that exchange? $7m trade exemption and couple of seconds?

I would be curious to see a net haul.

I think we traded out 3 seconds & in the end got 2 back - so net -1 second?

Than maybe a trade exception or two? & some cash considerations.

Glad to have Pat back. Love his bench energy.

Since it hasn’t really been updated. Here were the transactions.

We picked up a second round pick in the deal w/ OKC that sent Mason out for Dieng.

The deal w/ Chicago was amended - after Coby’s ankle injury was discovered - so this was net minus 2 second rounders - plus Dieng & Collin for Coby.

The Tyus Jones trade from Orlando picked up 2 second rounders. We also received a 7 million dollar trade exception. We moved Tyus straight up for Branham who was waived so Pat could be brought back - after he was waived to make room for Branham.

Then the final move was for Tillman - we sent Boston a second rounder out - received Tillman & cash considerations.

Impressive work from Peterson. No lost draft capital. Coby White. Xavier Tillman. 3.5 mill cash considerations & 7 million dollar trade exception.

The exception could prove to be a nice chip this summer.
