Hornets 2025-26 Season

Man… I might do it. What would $5 get me? Like $7000? Ha

How much do think playing with joy helps define this team currently?

Also, we have a winning record in the second half of the season. Go find the last time that was posted in the HP logs.

I’m feeling a little crazy I think, but at the moment there is no team in the eastern conference who I feel we don’t have a shot against

maybe only Boston if Tatum gets back to peak form quickly

I’m afraid the physicality of the playoffs will be our achilles heel. Need to address that this off-season. As well as adding some iso mid range/driving/free throws scoring. Maybe Coby fills that scoring need.

I feel like Cleveland, if healthy would be worst case scenario. I think we have a shot and would make a series out of it with anyone else.

I’m going to go out on a limb here… but I’m not sure there is a team out west either, that we can’t hang with in a 7 game series. I mean Indiana almost beat OKC… I’m not sure Indiana was better than we are now.

I am a delusional Hornets fan though. I don’t experience winning.

That’s a pretty big limb.

Playoff basketball is very different than what we’re seeing now. I’m not saying they can’t have a seat at the table but OKC, San Antonio, Denver, minn and maybe even the clippers would all be very difficult in a seven game series. Same with the top four seeds in the east.

A big like moose is very effective during the regular season, but in a seven game series when the pay slows down and physicality increases, Charlotte is going to have trouble with the front court.

Finally listened to the podcast. I think they both were pretty spot on with analyzing the team. You definitely know lowe watches regularly. He has a great feel for the team

This is my biggest concern right now. Particularly at PF. Length as well. That needs to be addressed in the summer either through trade, free agency, or draft.

The longest recorded streak of consecutive wins by 15 or more points in a single NBA season is

6 games, accomplished by the 2017-18 Golden State Warriors, 2012-13 San Antonio Spurs, 1989-90 Phoenix Suns, 1988-89 Cleveland Cavaliers, and the 2025-26 Charlotte Hornets.

What a crazy group of teams to be included with.

I put in a $10 bet yesterday when the finals winners odds for the hornets was +15000. Just a dumb bet for fun. Ride the wave.

Interestingly enough, hornets finals winners odds are down to +10000 as of today. And yeah, i opted out of the dynamic odds where your bet shifts with the moving odds. Locked in at +15000

Not sure who these guys are but this is a fun listen. So good to hear Hornets talked about and not being made fun of.

Only thing I wonder to counter the pace/physicality comment about the playoffs is if the Hornets play with enough energy to break that for a lot of teams.

We talked last night about how they can so quickly put up 8-10 points. Even if they get bogged down at times, they have so many scorers that can get hot that it’s hard to keep them contained.

There’s no doubt that the playoffs is a huge uphill battle, but I think it’s very possible they roll in on full cylinders and other teams just can’t figure them out.

That is certainly a possibility. It just the 7 series grind.

I can definitely see them like the baron davis warriors that upset the Mavs and took it to utah team.

One thing the above video pointed out: we’re actually not playing a high pace. Just said we’re 27th in pace but insanely efficient. That I would not have guessed.

Amen! And Amen!
