Rest of the Association (2025-26)

Entry point for the rest of the nba, if season and into 25-26 regular season

I believe I over heard the Atlanta hawks were 33-1 odds to make the finals. But after the draft and FA, the odds greatly improved. I wish I had gotten in a small bet before that shift in the odds. That would be a prettt sweet payday. They didn’t even have to win the finals, just make the finals too.

Edit: that’s where I heard it, bill Simmons. The hawks made a few moves after that and within a few days the odds swung like crazy. They have better odds to make the finals than Boston. If you told me 12 months ago that the hawks would have better finals odds than Boston right now, it would melt my brain.

It’s too bad for the hornets that the Magic and Hawks got a lot better this offseason. The Magic better via Bane and simply getting healthy again. The Bane trade reminded me of the reaction to the Siakam trade to Indy. I think people look back in a year or so and fully appreciate the Bane deal. You can’t “win” all the trades you make. If you’re close, you have to commit to taking calculated risks. The timing is right. The east isn’t great.

Anticlimactic 7 man trade announcement. Basically a bunch of grease for preexisting trades.

Argh! I hate that Miami got this deal. Norman Powell is a gamer.

Jakucionis totaled just 12 points on 1-of-15 (6.7%) from the field, 0-of-11 shooting from three-point range and 10-of-12 shooting from the foul line in his first three summer league games at the California Classic. The 6-foot-6 Lithuanian guard also committed 12 turnovers to six assists during this three-game stretch.

Sheesh. 4 points and 4 turnovers per game, and hitting only 1 shot across 3 games… I know he’s better than that, but that’s as rough a start as I’ve seen, especially for someone mentioned as a trade down target for us…in the top 10.

Bad karma for doing LOWF dirty.

Kinda kidding. But kinda feel like I’m gonna hold onto this grudge for a while.

Guys, ESPN is still saying that we haven’t done enough. My concerns is that they might be correct. We need a real front court:

I’m very happy with what we’ve done. I don’t want us to skip steps by going all in for a true starting Big now.

We now have plenty of shooters and ball movers to surround LaMelo and Brandon with, so the product on the court should be fun. But, we’ll also likely have decent odds at one of the Tier 1 prospects in the '26 draft. This is the best of both worlds, IMHO.

All that’s needed is a trade or two to get our roster down to 15 and for us to sort our final two-way (PJ Hall is certainly intriguing). I’m really looking forward to seeing some entertaining play and internal development this coming season.

We had a good off season but the thing is that the Hawks and Magic had better off seasons. I think the heat are still better than us too.* I think we may be better than the Wiz. If fact w Collin (and Kon as a back up) we should definitely be better than the Wiz.

*What happened to that Heat fire sale?

This is nuts, 5 mins in and the only, ONLY way Tre can get the ball is to steal it

Ah now he received a pass

“Leaky Black with the leaky handle” was EC level

Maluach is really not coming off the screen as someone that would challenge Mark or Nick for PT this year.

Contrastingly, I kinda like Igadharo for when the Suns sell off their next set of front court players on the cheap.
