Summer League Thread

I thought PJ locked up that 3rd 2-way spot last night. He showed a hell of a lot of what Peterson and Lee have been talking as Hive Mentality.

I agree, he brings tremendous energy and has the tools to get better, he also has a decent looking shot

I only mentioned KJ - noticing he has overlooked a wide open Kon a handful of times this summer and he’s tried to drive the lane with mixed results. Watched enough of Kon in those spots to know those are conversions. Won’t be an issue when he’s with our regular rotation - which is a nice thought. KJ had a better game last night after I made my post (naturally) but game one I think he was a big part of the reason Kon failed to find an early rhythm. He hasn’t been the only guilty party. But being a 2nd year vet - something I noticed.

Hall has been great. Im hoping we can get Sion & Liam back out there Saturday just to see one more stab at our 1st game lineup - and folks playing a bit more free.

Hails to the yea ya!

This guy would be our third PJ in about 6 years!

Am I watching a replay of summer league MKGs first year on NBA TV? What is Mo Harkless doing out there for Utah?

I really liked the PJ Hall addition to the summer league roster, but after watching him I’m incredibly excited. Hall just has the look of someone who belongs in the NBA. He runs the floor like a maniac, knows how to move off the ball, and is instinctively solid. Would love for him to have locked up a two way spot.

Also-I’ve been relatively impressed with KJ Simpson. He’s had a strong summer league. Wish we could’ve seen more of Sion James.

I only go to watch about half of the summer league games, but wow what an improvement. I’m so used to it being a clown show and just hoping that our key players would show out.

This looked like real basketball, which helps me think some of these guys are going to contribute to the team.

I don’t want to put too much on McNeely, but, wow, he could be a serious get. Nose for the ball and seemingly and played an effective game with ease. I’m smitten.

Kon started to really show his value, and I look forward to watching him develop this year. I think he definitely makes us a better team.

I feel good about Salaun too. Still lots of room to grow, but was finding his spots and making winning plays.

Lot to be excited about, though at the we’re clearly going to have to consolidate some players. That’s ok. I’m fine with developing multiple young guys into trade pieces if need be. At least they’ll have value and help each other while they’re here.

Sigh. Won’t be able to watch this game either tonight. Still moving and fixing things. Was hoping to. I’ll be there in spirit.

In my honor, when you see a technically sound box out. Comment in the chat in my honor.

Tomorrow though. 10pm? You going to make it!?

Hell yeah, maybe. I’m hoping my internet gets connected tomorrow. I’ll try to watch live and join yall on the live chat.

This is the biggest hornets game we’ve had in like 6 years or something

I need something good to happen. The hornets doing their thing in summer league has been a fun distraction. I should be able to watch the game Sunday night if they get my internet set up in time.

Personally I would like to see all of the draftees sit out the last game. No need to risk them.

No no no, we’re finally in a final just go and win it. If everyone is fit and healthy just play them and get a winning culture started.

I agree. I want people to play. Get the fucking win. The hornets revolution starts tonight. I think the W would be a monumental achievement in terms of turning this ship around.

However. If they sit guys-I get it. I’ll be disappointed but will understand. I’d be shocked if the guys don’t play tonight. They wouldn’t have played Kon last game only to rest him tonight. Didn’t he get some stitches last game?

Well…

Why did Charlotte let that happen?

No spot for him? idk

NOOOO!!! I’m surprisingly disappointed

They gave a two way to Drew Peterson 3 days ago. It seems clear to me that the FO just didn’t want PJ that badly. Good for PJ but too bad for us.

Rim running physical rim protector big, nah, let’s load up on small guards.
