Ja’Kobe Walter?
That dude caught my eye flipping through the channels that game
Well I’m glad it wasn’t a fracture, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Lamelo was out until the all-star break.
And speaking of injuries, someone mentioned concern about Richards in the game chat. I’ve been thinking the same thing. I know concussion symptoms resolve at different rates for different people, but we’re going on two weeks now. Whatever it was wasn’t bad enough to prevent him from coming back and playing in the game where got hurt, but it’s bad enough to keep him out for 2 weeks?
More like he has beat that stat line 10 times this season
Once again, I wasn’t comparing the two players. Of course miller has crushed that stat line.
All good bro. I think Scoot will be good in the long run.
Miller is better now due to a sick mid range jumper game and length.
Crazy to say but Miller has as much upside as Paul George or Paul Pierce.
I lived in Boston when PP came into the league. I think he averaged 16 a game and everyone in the city knew they were watching a future hall of Famer.
It helped due to the fact that they sucked ass and had Rick Pitino as a coach for a number of years.
“Charlotte is focused on getting healthy and competing for a playoff spot now.”
Does that mean we said he’s not available? Really? Am I reading that wrong? I know I’m beating a dead horse here, but MK needs to go. Proof he’s not going to do anything at the deadline to help the future of this team. He can’t admit this roster is not competitive. GM malpractice.
Mitch has been shoving this narrative down our throats for a while. We (most of us) stopped believing it a long time ago and the league certainly doesn’t believe it.
We need to bubble wrap gordon Hayward to make sure he’s healthy to trade. He won’t generate much return in a trade, but I’ll take anything. I mean anything. If we can get a 2nd round pick or two in 2027/28, sure!
But knowing the hornets, Gordon will probably stay healthy for the season and play okay enough to trade…and then he’ll get injured 3 days before the trade deadline.
Edit: also knowing the hornets, we won’t trade gordon and let him walk for nothing when he expires after this season.
Not at all. It’s the truth. We need a clean sweep and clean house. We’ve got to reinvent this franchise and instill a culture that’s not built on delusions. Mitch has lied to himself and has talked himself into believing what’s he’s saying. Can you imagine if we had a leader that isn’t delusional?
We’ve got something good to build upon: Melo, mark, Miller. The 3M pillars.
I want this done right. This is a great group of young talent who are 22, 21, and 21 years old. We have great young talent and I don’t trust Mitch to get it right.
I’m all for trading GH if it makes sense. But at his salary, we”ll have to take on another big salary guy or multiple players to make it work. And what playoff caliber team is going to be willing to give up a quality player(s) at the deadline? I’m not interested in taking another team’s trash just to acquire a 2nd round pick, especially if we’re going to be saddled with salary beyond this year. If that’s the case, I’d rather just let Hayward expire and get the cap space back.
Besides, once Lamelo’s extensions kicks in, we may need that space to avoid any luxury tax concerns if we decide to do something with Miles long term.
Edit: If we have to take on salary, we’d need to insist on a 1st coming back.
I think your answer is in the middle. I don’t think that matching Gordon’s salary automatically means the hornets have to take on crap. ESPN and amateur articles love to use the trade machine to churn out horrible trades involving the charlotte hornets taking on poo poo to help out the lakers.
I am focused on growing my financial position to acquire the Dallas Mavericks now. I am only $1.975 billon short right now.
knowing the hornets, he will be resigned to 4 years at $16m per year. FIFY
I’ll pitch in with you. We are still $1.975 Billy short
I agree with you on this. The “competing for a playoff spot now” just set me off. Anybody with the slightest basketball acumen can see this isn’t a playoff team. I mean, even my dumbass can see that. Especially without Lamelo for significant time.
Edit: excuse the rant and language.
No, I hear you, and agree. With a full roster, I don’t think competing for a play-in spot was totally out of the question, but we’d definitely need all of our main guys healthy to make a serious push. Without Lamelo for the foreseeable future I just don’t see how any postseason aspirations are realistic.
that’s like going into business with family haha
Which is always a GREAT idea. So that means I’ll also throw in $100.
I’ve taken some time off of work and my wife asked me if I’d help her at her business and I quickly replied, “there’s faster and less messy ways for us to get divorced than that.”
$3.5 billies - $1.975 billies = $1.525 BBBBillion.
We got a billionaire on the board y’all!
