On to next season and it will be interesting to see how empty the seats are in this 8 game home stand. According to Basketball Reference, the Hornets are DEAD LAST in attendance per game. I was there '88-'92 when the team was bad but the games were 23,000 strong. For multiple reasons, we’ll never be that again, but some semblance of it would be nice.
just curious if we are dead last in attendance how did they justify price increase to go to a game? I haven’t watch a complete game in weeks, but I am going to tonight’s game.
We’ve always been near the bottom as far as ticket prices too and they are rationalizing that it’s going to get better, the in-game and on-floor experience both. On a 1-year prove it campaign w/ me on that considering the really steep hike.
Makes sense, I hope they prove it to all of us. I guess I should consider myself fortunate that we only went up 11%.

Oh, I think Charlotte will erupt if we can put a good team out there. While we have a lot of fair weather fans, folks around here are ready to be part of something.

Maybe, but they’ll treat the folks that go rain or snow like shit along the way and not bother to learn anything about the team while calling for ineffectual charges at every turn. So I’m of mixed mind to what extent I want to see success lol
I definitely understand that for the diehards and STHs. But at the end of the day, winning cures a lot of ills. And casual fans will jump on board quickly.

Damn, Cody and Seth both got a 2 month ankle injury in the same game? I wonder how much its more Peterson wants to take a closer look at our young guys to see if anyone’s worth keeping around, since they’ll both be here next year I think.
As for Melo, at least they finally announced it. Should’ve announced it at the all star break when everyone was asking Cliff. Better than leaving us hanging every game. Would be nice to have a status update on where the rehab is. Is it needing more cleanup surgery perhaps, is it fully healed now and just needs to start a strengthening program.
Surprised they hadn’t announced Mark’s done for the year yet.

Lamelo has played 51, 75, 36, 22 games. Next year begins his extension. He’ll be 30% of the cap. He’s got to get healthy and stay on the floor, or his contract will become a much bigger albatross that Hayward was, and untradable. Yes, I’m having a Capt. Obvious moment.
