I think he has anger issues. Hey I’ve been irate at games and cursed refs with some serious passion, but never opposing players.
My biggest concern was a Malice at the Palace type situation, only in reverse where irate fans are throwing things / attacking the court. Those fans were VERY pissed and Draymond was egging them on. Really bad idea.
I can’t understand why Embiid wasn’t tossed out with the kick from the floor. That seemed in no way a basketball move, had the potential to escalate, was unnecessary, etc… I can’t imagine he doesn’t get a game suspension.
The mavericks have always been my second team. So not a good season for me.
I’ve said for a while that the mavericks are missing a dog to pair with Luka. A guy who plays rugged defense, can score, but doesn’t have to have the ball in his hands all the time. And the example I gave was jimmy butler.
I hear you, and I’m no fan of Atl or Mem, but I just can’t with the Lakers. They’ve become Miami with the ridiculous flopping on every play. So tired of their theatrics and Lebron in particular with his hands raised in the air after every shot he misses as if he hasn’t gotten the benefit of the doubt on 95% of calls throughout his career. Ready for them to just go away.
I hate the Heat. Hate ‘em with the heat of a thousand burning suns.
Is jealousy a big part of it? Absolutely. That, and their constant smugness since Rony Seikaly, when the original smugass made those smug comments with his smugly face.
And their entitled fans, who think they’re always great. And the way they always bounce back immediately from the lottery to, not just a playoff team, but a contender that gets to the finals.
They’ve been to the finals what, 5-6 times. Have we even won 5 playoff series in 30 years?
They used to be our rivals, my most hated team. And we’re not even a passing thought to them.
But yeah, Jimmy Butler is insane right now. Never had him in the top top tier of superstars, but can’t really deny him that place anymore.
I don’t like much about the Heat but damn you gotta respect the hell outta them. After losing the first playin game for the 7th seed and barely squeezing into the playoffs as the 8th seed, having to face the Bucks with the best record in the league in the first round… Spoelstra was asked about the challenge of facing the # 1 bucks and he responds
“We have great respect for them but you know we feel like we’re Navy seals. Just drop us off in parachutes and let’s go compete.”
