That would be great if we could get one done with Tre.
Tre Mann has been electric so far this preseason. Any time he’s on the floor Tre gives a “whoa” play. He just stands out. He was definitely good last year, but he just looks so confident and decisive out there.
With the way Micic is playing do you attempt to trade him to Denver for for a 2nd, then sign DSJ as an impact defensive pg of the bench. If you pair him with Mann ofvthe bench that would be a pretty solid pairing

I’m so afraid he’ll be out for months, bc that’s what I’m used to. Hopefully I’m wrong.
That said, so pumped for the season. We are going to the playoffs guys.

Well, looks like we’re down three starters. Great win though. Melo looks like he hasn’t missed a beat: on the court or on the interview microphone.
Mann looks legit. Definitely carried over his hot play from preseason. Oh, and Moussa Diabate looks good in his role. good find.
Was a liiiittle surprised we didn’t see some Salaun, given we’re down three starters. Taj as well.
I don’t have the ability to rewatch the games, but for those of you that do, look midway into the 2nd quarter to find the Brandon Miller injury. It was a turnover or an offensive rebound, but he hit the deck. I’m 99% sure that was it. Because I made a mental note of how weird he looked jogging to the bench after that.
I will be one of the very last Micic defenders, but give him a month or so and he’ll be much much better.
Oh another thing…hornets out rebounded the rockets 56-43. Weird. Keep an eye on that early season because that was also a big reason why our defense was so bad. Getting crushed on the boards and second chance points.
Yeah, I’m not sure what to make of Micic. I thought he was really good after coming over last year but he just hasn’t seemed locked in throughout the preseason and last night, although the 3 he hit down the stretch was huge. He has a tendency to get a little too cute with some of his passes. Reminds me of the guy in pick up who’s always trying to throw the no look wrap around instead of just making the simple pass that’s there. I agree that he’ll likely come around because he’s talented, but the drop off from last year is noticeable and concerning.
I was also pleasantly surprised by Diabate. He had some big rebounds and a couple of nice blocks last night. I too thought we might see Taj instead but I thought Diabate held his own. That was encouraging to see since we don’t know how long MW will be out.
To me, Micic just looks heavier and out of shape. And a little slow because of that. I think he’ll trim down and shake the dust in a month or so.
As far as Brandon miller’s injury I’d guess he has a bad hip pointer (bruise). If I remember the play correctly, his skinny frame hit the hardwood quite hard during a loose ball. He’ll be fine. I’d guess he’ll miss a game in case he’s still not able to get his mobility back Friday. No more than one or two games. The way he was walking to the bench and stretching out in the tunnels tells me it was a pretty bad bruise and he just couldn’t get proper mobility. And the trainers called it so he doesn’t injure himself by overcompensating with other components of his legs.
But watch me be dead wrong, which is par for course on hornets injury related stuff.
This is how you establish a new culture. Have not seen energy from the guys like this in years. We might have nailed a coach hire.

any news on brandon miller’s hip? I haven’t seen anything, and I’m going to go with “no news is good news”. Also, not sure about Josh Green’s status either. I’m sure more to come on Friday prior to the ATL game.
Even with the injuries, I still would like to see Mann come off the bench as the 6th man. I think having Tre spearhead the second unit and insert some energy is perfect. Regardless of starting or 6th man, I’m sure he’ll be out there to finish the game.
