We are often on the same page chef, my thoughts exactly. Sigh. Very much hornets dna.
They would definitely match up on 23 and me search
Anyone want to do a HP ncaa bracket challenge? Would have to get it rolling here in the next few days. I can try my hand at making a group for us
Well, just so that you know. UNC is +24000 to win the national championship. So a $5 bet renders a $1,200 win.
So in short, I was dying to burn $5. But. If it does happen, Iāll have a great story. And use the $1,200 towards charlotte hornets season tickets for next season when our hornets team also defies all odds and wins the nba finals.
Anyways, Carolina will lose by 15 tonight.
I would join
You know its bad when the mavs are starting a guy the hornets released #kaijones
And PJ Washington is their best player as well.
Heās one TO away from a double double
Iām shocked heās even watched the Hornets.
Kids got talent. Peterson! I expect much better drafting from now on
I remember liking him pre-draft. Not saying I would have drafted him, but I liked him.
Edit:
Didnāt he hit a game winner vs Brandon in a rising star game?
He was the guy I wanted but if we drafted him heād be in a body cast or under the bench with the Swarmā¦
I bought a nick smith jr rookie card for my sports card collection and now when he wins mvp 10 times and wins 10 championships all with the hornets i will sell the card and buy a mansion
Do you guys think Charles Lee has had a significant impact on Miles Bridges this year?
He did not shoot the ball as well as some other years, but, on a per (played) possession basis, heās at all time highs in points, assists, rebounds, and free throw attempts, along with shooting a fantastic free throw percentage. Getting to the line to make the easy points(free throws) is theoretically what older, smarter players learn to do. Age-wise, heās somewhere around the beginning/middle of an NBA prime. Will we see the emergence of a wiser, craftier Miles?
Thoughts?
I think Charles Lee has been good for basketball decisions generally. I think his style expects or depends on at least competent distance shooters by and large but he has guys - generally - in all the right spots to make positive impacts w/ the exception of the odd respect our centers give in drop coverage. Our issues to me seem to be a severe lack of competence and execution, and execution could be the issue w/ the drop coverage too.
There it is, we arenāt making the playoffs after all. Shoot, and all the collective well-wishing from the fan base couldnāt get us over the flagg, I mean hump.
He could be making a difference, but it could just be Miles maturing as a man and as a player. Losing a full year of basketball and dealing with his personal issues set him back pretty bad. I think we might just him becoming what he was meant to become. But Iām sure having a coach that can help him grow helps.
I havenāt watched much lately. Weāve hit the portion of the season a while ago that weāre not really learning much of anything about the team. With so many injured and guys getting minutes that probably shouldnāt be in the league, I donāt know how many conclusions or learnings there are to gather.
I do think Miles Bridges has taken a small step forward this year actually, but I didnāt want him back. I just donāt see him moving the needle much and wanted to build this year instead of watch Miles do much of the same that weāve already seen.
I mean, who on this team right now does anyone here have an active interest in watching their development?
I mean, is there any interesting project? No, thereās not. Thatās because miles bridges doing the same old thing and the waisted draft pick in Tidjane Salaun. Sure, the injuries suck. I would personally be interested in the trajectory of Tre Mann.
And duh, Brandon miller. But that goes without saying.
The funny part is that they probably drafted Salaun as a potential bridges replacement, and that looks like a (predictable) spectacular failure.
