The consensus is yes hornets drafted well.
If course it’s all nonsense until the end of next year, but it’s nice press.

I hope that their conspiracy theory about trying to attract Coop (sometime in the future) is real. This also explains why the FO was so heck bent on Kon.
I mean, compared to the last few offseasons’ headlines…
That we watch other grown men play a game and spend our money and precious time doing so is nonsense. It’s all absurd.
Yet, here we are.
No, I meant a draft grade the day after the draft. You really can’t grade a draft until the end of year two once you see what each player is and is heading towards.
Knew what you meant. 100% agree.
Just saying this whole pro sports thing is also kind of nonsense.
Bread and circus
I know I am a Wake homer but man, I sure would love to sign Jake LaRavia.
Does Trey Mann count bc I want him to be Lamelo’s back up.
Well d@mn this is great news.
Too bad that they missed their opportunity to get Lonzo! (Did they miss their chance on Lonzo?) Sure Tre counts as a back up but Tre needs a mentor too.
Just about any vet who’s respected in the league would be get for Tre and Melo.
If Charlotte is serious about not trading melo, they need to get a real veteran backup. Someone capable of winning a few games and nightly, holding or pushing leads. The idea being that melo can play on average 30-34 min a game if necessary.
Otherwise, the likely scenario is another season long injury that starts out as a week in December. Then seriously trading him for 60% off.
Yeah, that would be my priority at the moment. In an ideal world, that pg could also help mentor Ball, but I’ll settle for a mentor to Sion.
Really I’d just settle for a capable bench PG.
Charlotte would have to cut 4.4 million in salary via a misic buyout and they could trade miles to Memphis straight up for cole Anthony. I am sure some draft capital would have to switch places
Considering Memphis needs an Anthony type, and it world be a bigger cost in draft comp, I’d rather work with CHI on Ayo Dosunmu as they are rumored to not be keeping him. I think he’s got great upside and he’s s cheap contract.
I’d reroute Vasa to them with a pair of furture 2nds if they just want comp.
I wondered if we would hear ourselves tangential to Jerome’s free agency as that competent backup to Ball.
Just traded for Collin Sexton

That’s your vet backup point guard I guess. Not sure he’s really who I would have picked. And odd that we’re back to being underwater in the front court again. Assume there’s more moves to come before we hit Oct. Also, cannot bode well for retaining Tre.
Woah that is unexpected
He was a tough/physical guard coming into the NBA. That fits the mold we have been advertising a want on our roster. End of the road for either NSJ or Mann I am thinking.
