I don’t think the Miles comment is a smokescreen at all. I 100% believe they want to keep him. The only question is at what cost.
We’ve come to believe that the cost will be prohibitive and it may well be when it’s all said and done but I’m feeling more and more like the market to pay Miles big money is not as bad as we feared (or hoped for those who want him gone).
It really seems to come down to Detroit and I don’t see the new regime wanting to come in and make their first major move an overpay for Miles with his baggage.

I hope that this is all true - especially the part about Mile’s market being poor. We still need things to break our way. And we need some basic stability.
We didn’t do well in the undrafted free agent market because we were NOT offering 2 way contracts. Looks like we were only offering 10 days. Okay, got it. We have a lot of young folks from the last 2 years let’s see if they can step up over the summer.
I think it’s prove it or you’re out for: NSJ, TJ, Leaky, Amari, Bolden and James N.
I really hope that’s several of these young men step up for the new coach, the team and for themselves. I would love to see them all succeed.
Makes sense to see what our stable of youngsters can offer, and with an actual PG to run things too!
