It’s not as free-form for starting new posts. The channels are controlled by the moderators. There’s a Threads feature that can be used to make new posts that I’ve tried to highlight in the “fan-threads” channel; but its definitely not as simple as this site. Pros and Cons for sure.

Some Pro’s are that is does categorize conversations well and is good for maintaining team info channels. This is a great site and has been well moderated for a long time.

I haven’t been as active this season due to getting a new job which has me putting in an insane amount of hours and I’m often just too tired at the end of the day to hop on the forum even if I love the team still and watch every game.

I will miss this website, I really feel like I grew up on here, when I joined I was 13-14 years old, now I’m 26. I learned a lot about basketball from many of you on here and even through all the difficult years this forum brought me a lot of joy. I’ll remember fondly celebrating big wins, the debates, endlessly discussing potential trades fighting for my life defending Dwight Howard his one season here, or free agent signings, and even the times like when we signed Gordon Haywood where the whole board was pissed off.

I hope there is a way to keep this community going in some way on discord, a free forum or even a subreddit, though I know it won’t quiet ever be the exact same.
