Currently one game out of 10th, which is occupied by Atlanta. Four games until the all star break: at Houston, at Atlanta, home Detroit, home Atlanta. And then a week of rest. If we beat Atlanta twice before the all star break…I think things will reach a real fever pitch.
Later in March, to kick off the remaining 14 games of the reason we have a 7 game home streak: MIA, ORL, MEM, SAC, NYK, PHI, BOS. 10 out of 14 of those remaining games will be home games. The spectrum center could be electric. Just to keep an eye on…
I was really surprised how good turnout was today and Saturday with how bad the weather was and the time of the games.
Honestly, I haven’t seen a buzz around this team like there currently is in my entire 17 years rooting for this team. In 2016, we tied for 3rd place in the East but it seemed like national media still didn’t really care about us and locally the buzz didn’t really start until we got close to playoff time.
I agree I like Collin, he’s a solid backup PG/bench scorer even if he frustrates the hell out of me sometimes and it also seems like he is a very good person to have in locker room. I wouldn’t pay more than 15m a year for him though.
It’s too bad that Philly in 6th is 6 games ahead of us. That’s too tough of a hill to climb. I think if they play .500 ball, we’d need to win around 21-22 out of 30 remaining games to close the season in order to have a shot at 6th.
My big take away at this moment: people want to be Hornets fans. People remember the Starter jackets. They see the potential for a fun team to follow. If we can sustain success, this could be massive for the franchise.
fingers crossed. Most exciting time to be a fan that I can remember.
