Hornets 2025-26 Season

Yeah, I think it’s easy to nitpick your own guys, especially when things aren’t going well. But it’s a monumental feat to get manage a bunch of young players and get them buying into a system. That’s not just talent; that’s culture. You can see a lot of the little things he does to keep them focused and building something they can all believe in.

This was a great one. It makes me also feel bad for Colin sexton. Just recently, he hilariously got fined for missing a free throw and giving the basket the middle finger. Which, is the spirit that I love. Colin had some of that crazy in him, which is a fire I think was very necessary for this team.

Kon has reached 90% FT. There’s never been a rookie that’s had a 50/40/90 season. Ever.

His FG% is at 49%.

He’s already leading the league in threes made and has already surpassed and will continue to shatter the rookie three point makes record.

How the fuck are people ready to give the rookie of the year to cooper Flagg? Are you kidding me.

Beat me to it. It’s funny how so many people clowned bill simmons months ago for saying that Kon could be a sneaky pick for the Olympic team. I’m a bill Simmons fan, not a huge fan, but I enjoy his content. Podcast with Bill and Zach Lowe are great.

Bill Simmons book was fantastic also.

I have always liked simmons. he is an unapologetic fan of the celtics (boston) and doesn’t pretend to be objective. I like that he has terrible trade ideas but defends them.

He is a lasting reminder of when sports and sports media was fun. It isn’t anymore.

Looks like we’ll see Coby tomorrow night….

That is totally unexpected and amazing! I expected Coby White to never play again, listening to @powellrmp always trying to bum us out. lol

Oh, you can definitely rely on me to bum you out. Coby may be probable, but still consider me doubtful. I don’t know what has magically changed in the last day with his calf. I have a very negative view of how the nba allows teams to handle injuries. It’s all bullshit.

I could be wrong, but I don’t remember Coby being listed as questionable or probable in the previous games. Just ruled out. (Please update me if I’m wrong). It just goes to show how loosely regulated the NBA injury info is. It’s mostly bullshit. Remember when mark williams was listed as questionable or whatever for like two months? He was never at risk of actually playing.

How teams can say a guy can go from immediately being ruled out to then “to yeah he’ll probably play tonight!” is ridiculous. I don’t think Coby plays in Chicago. Even though both fan bases want to see that.

I definitely feel you there. The injury reports rarely makes sense… especially ours. But if it’s probably, that has to mean he’s playing very soon, if not tomorrow right?

He definitely could. It would be fun as hell. I have several core problems with how the NBA operates, and how willy nilly injury reports are handled is ridiculous. It ties into the tanking issues for sure.

It’s like the tagline from the “whose line is it anyways” show, “The nba! Where the injury reports are made up and the rules don’t matter!”

I’m sure teams use injury for various purposes, but in our case, I think it’s mostly been doctors orders (“don’t play for two weeks”) followed by day by day decisions. I think most of our guys suddenly popped back up on the radar like that.

Outside of complying with NBA rules, there’s no real incentive for teams to be more exact with their diagnoses other fan perceived obligation to let us know who we should expect to see if we watch the game. Therefore, I don’t think they want to waste a lot of time trying to make exact predictions when the return from injury may be evolving. I get the concern, but I honestly don’t think it’s much of an issue for most teams, though I’m sure the tanking teams use injury list to their benefit.

If you don’t like NBA injury reports you should see nhl’s

I continue to see lots of chatter I like comparing Brandon miller to Paul George. I don’t know if it’s from young people who don’t remember young OG Paul George or what. Paul George had slick, devastating, break you down type handles. Watch this, and tell me if you see Brandon miller handling the ball like this. I’m not besmirching Brandon miller, but his dribble handle is simply not great.

And the crazy thing is that highlight wasn’t even Paul George on the pacers. Watch those two or three seasons when they were battling the heatles and celtics in the east.

Miller is good but he plays much more like a softer sg than of or someone like Paul pierce.

Miller plays like a stretch PF who doesn’t like contact.
