Hornets 2025-26 Season

Tough stretch to finish with Boston, Detroit, New York. I’m interested to see if any of those three either rest or limit their starters for the playoffs. Or if they run the starters with no restrictions against the hornets in an effort to avoid playing Charlotte in the playoffs.

With Detroit and Boston locked into the 1 and 2, it may be likely they rest players. Unsure about the Knicks, they’re at 3 seed and are only 1 game up on Cleveland.

If those three teams limit their starters, it would be a weird blessing that our final three games are against those good teams.

The crazy thing about those teams resting players is that we could also use their help. The Magic have games left against Boston and Detroit. Toronto has a game left with the Knicks. I guess if we can win out it won’t matter as much with Orlando. And Toronto is bound to drop one or two with two games left against Miami also. Obviously you want to get to 6 and it’s within reach but I’ll be happy with 7, getting two shots in the playin guaranteed with both at home or at the least I hope we can maintain 8 to get two shots in the playin.

And play Toronto

Biggest game of the season tonight on national TV! I think if we win this one we’re beating Detroit and New York.

This is fun. I didn’t expect it this year. 5th is not out of the question, though unlikely. Just win the last 3 and see what happens. 7/8 will be fine. Gives us 2 shots at a series. Go Hornets!

I’d honestly rather get 6 and play the Knicks than 5 and play Cleveland…

But really… I’d be so stoked to out of the playin.

I feeel we play Atlanta well. I don’t want 76ers bc Embiid willl flop around and get rewarded for it.

And they are a tough tough team when healthy

As evident tonight we’re not gonna get calls regardless of WHO we play. I don’t know what it will take to get a fair shot for a young team…

Hated to lose last night. I think we really missed Coby. Hope he’s back Friday. Got a couple days off so the guys can get some rest, especially Kon, before the last 2 games and the play-in. Still believe we can make a series.

So it looks like Minnesota doesn’t have Edwards, Randle, Dosunmu or Conley tonight. All ruled out. Smh.

That means Orlando probably isn’t losing another game because Boston will likely be resting players that last game.

And Philly looks like they only have one more possible loss on the schedule to Houston but that would just tie us and they have the tie breaker, right?

I’m afraid we’re gonna be stuck at 9 facing Miami and having to win two games to get in. That feels pretty daunting.

I wouldn’t doubt Boston. They play well when they’re resting guys and I think Tatum wants to play to get into rhythm for the postseason.

Orlando, despite them winning recently, they haven’t been that great. They were down 15 to New Orleans before coming back to win recently, so they aren’t past laying an egg themselves.

I wasn’t for this a couple of months ago, but I might be bought in on a trade for Giannis this offseason. He’s what we need to get to the next level - literally he can be a post presence and a go-to for when the game slows down. I don’t know how long we would have him, but for a year, it might be worth a shot.

Minny didn’t even try and sat several guys tonight against the Magic. Cool. Meanwhile we get to see Cade and the fully healthy Pistons lol

It is interesting that Detroit didn’t rest anyone tonight. I guess they want to get their rhythm with Cade back. Risky on their part though

I agree although he isn’t the best fit. I believe a healthy Anthony davis is everything they need. I am afraid giannis is so ball dominant. Lee would have his work cut out to not have Kon and miller just standing around watching melo and giannis pick and rolls

A lot of teams need a healthy Anthony Davis lol

If I had my way (but couldn’t have a deep hornets playoff run), it would be to lose the play in game and luck and win the lotto and get Caleb wilson

Put a healthy AD on our team, and we are winning a championship for sure.
