That report seemed more like speculation than sourced but I guess it makes sense. Been rumored about Dā€™antoni for a while so maybe we are waiting on it. Kings didnā€™t wait

The longer this goes on, the more it asserts that the groceries are mitchā€™s to buy fully and the coach just does the cooking. Not a problem per se, but where thereā€™s division in who plays vs whoā€™s on the roster, this seems to point to the why.

Wow!!! WTF! Idk, but this is not a good look. Less than a week from the draft and no coach. Could only happen to the Hornets. SMH.

Irrespective of the draft, this seems like a strong statement about the state of the franchise. Nothing ado about the roster, but the organization. And that doesnā€™t have to be realized to be a reputational smack in the face.

Hopefully for the players it puts chips on shoulders rather than than calls to agents.

This is even worse in most ways. I think calls for a rebuild will start with the front office, not the roster.

Amazing. I wasnā€™t sure he was the guy, but this is really a mess now. Quinn is taking a year off, both to recover from surgery and to spite Danny Aigne (who said he would require compensation from other teams wanting to hire Quinn). I donā€™t know that Mike D would still be interested after being snubbed, but then again Iā€™m not sure when the last time something like this happend.

Is it possible this isnā€™t an indictment of the Hornets and itā€™s justā€¦ He wants to stay where he is, with the newly crowned champions? He got a promotion to stay where heā€™s at. Happens in many job negotiations.

Yeah it sucks but it doesnā€™t have to mean thereā€™s a problem on the Hornets side.
