Best case: Yeah Steve steps down and Kenny is announced as the coach (logical decision and nobody really looks bad).
Push case: Kenny offered twice his salary and he says “f it” and stays (he, Steve and GS Front office looks bad)
Worse case: Kenny sees the inner workings of the Hornet’s org and say “No freaking way” (entire Hornets org comes off looking like a terrible terrible joke)

I’ve read that he’s worked against MJ every since then.
It could be more organic than that. He’s working for a team that has spent luxury taxes without conscience and invested heavily in everything to get 4 championships in recent years. You compare that to the Hornets avoidance of the tax and anything he might have gleaned while starting to piece his staff together and he could have thought there will be a better situation. I think he hurt his brand a lot (in Charlotte) but not sure that’s how 29 other franchises will view it.
If the first mention of this was Woj because Woj, and not because Kenny is a skeeze, then that’s all sorts of gross about Woj himself. If however he hadn’t told Hornets Brad because he wanted to terminate this visa the media, then he’s a real piece of work.
Ya that’s a very poorly worded tweet. His next tweet not long after, gave a link to an ESPN article that said that Atkinson had informed the Hornets. A lot of folks got fired up though because someone tweeted that the Hornets only found out after Woj’s initial tweet. It seems to have all come out very fast.
What a damn mess man. Seeing Atkinson was the only three of the finalists to meet with MJ, I guess that means D’antoni or Stotts since they were the other two finalists?
I’d be fine with either one I guess but why us? I swear… unbelievable shit man.
I was on team MDA but at his age and with his accomplishments, I don’t think he’d take being our sloppy seconds. However, I think Stotts would probably still be interested.
Kenny fucked everyone over, but this is on MJ. Rumors say that Mitch wanted MDA, and MJ overruled him with Kenny after the one-on-one interviews. So, in my eyes, it is on MJ.
