Iām a real estate guy. Hereās how I see it.
Letās say you own a house that is on the verge of costing you around $100k in upkeep over the next 5 years or so. Also, the city is flirting with adding an overpass extension to the beltway and it is going to be about 300 yards off your back porch. Your future is looking bleak to say the least.
The immediate plan has to be to find a buyer. At virtually any price that makes sense. It doesnāt matter when they want to close or whether you have another house to move to. You liquidate.
Take your gains (or cut your losses) even if your friends are yelling at you because you may have to live in an extended stay for a half a year.
You know the market is crashing and you have no choice but to leave it up to luck that some sap is in over their head and has to short sale a nice house 5 minutes from your job.
The point is, the plan is irrelevant as long as the hornets are stripping off wins and long term money. If they can add a bunch of picks then yes you can trade for a few bad contracts as long as they donāt hamstring you during Meloās window.
Chef i agree you have take advantege of deals. And some short sales will happen at the deadline. I expect to see Oubre to bring in bank then. Plumlee I think will bring back a plus at the deadline but nothing big. Hayward I thing we will be lucky to move unless itās for Westbrook.
