Its happening. From what I was told several weeks ago and in this article, MJ still going to play a big role in franchise, sounds like his brothers may be staying too but we will see. His brothers are both really good too.

Definitely not mad about any of this

Yeah, glad MJ will stay attached to the team, but glad he will step back. Hoping new leadership breaks some of the bad habits we’ve fallen into over time as an organization. And if this can reframe the org from a few agency or coaching perspective, that’s great.

It is official. Hornets just sent an email to season ticket holders. Majority owners are Schnall and Plotkin.

@HornetJack Thanks for the heads up. Checking email now.

Saying he’ll still have a 49% stake.

If he still has as much as 49%, he must be the highest staked minority owner in the NBA. Very interesting.

Read the email. He’ll still have a minority stake but it didn’t specify the share.

49% was mentioned on WFNZ.

49% means nothing has changed except titles between Jordan and Plotkin/Schnall

I’ll always be in the minority on this but I’ll miss having MJ as our majority owner.

It’s a bummer to see him sell his stake

Glad Jordan isn’t stepping away completely. He’s been great in the community, and even though his tenure didn’t have success, I still like him being attached to the team in some manner.

With still keeping a high share, maybe this was to get away from being the figure head and taking all the blame. Still enjoy the perks, but without the stress of being the ultimate decision maker or blame taker.

So then who is the face of the ownership we can now blame. Plotty? Schnally?
Plotschnall… Schnotkin?

Also J Cole and E Church buying in. Wonder how many other celebinvestors we got to buy in.

J Cole like “WE’RE KEEPING CODY MARTIN!”

Guys, how funny would it be if this hornets team absolutely took off the season that MJ sold his majority stake?

I mean, cmon. Pretty funny.

How much cash did he clear?

Also, I wonder if this means Mitch’s days are numbered. post draft?

Some info about Gabe Plotkin. Reads like his PR person wrote it though.

Guys the organization is worth 3 billion dollars. A freaking mazing.

Is Kendrick Lamar part of the new ownership group?
