Rest of the Association (2025-26)

NSJ is a classy guy. I’m rooting for him to make it somewhere in the league. Wish we coulda kept developing him, but the numbers game wasn’t looking good at all.

First of all, I am overjoyed for this kid. And it’s official, Wemby is now my second favorite Spur of all time after Tim Duncan:

I was going to highlight the Kung Fu aspect of his journey, but I figured that the CLA discussion was much more vital to the knowledge contained on these boards. PLUS I am always fascinated by innovation and disruption:

“…When his rehab finally progressed enough over the summer to return to game action, his curiosities led him to teammate Harrison Barnes. He wanted to join the veteran wing’s workouts in Los Angeles with skill trainer Noah Laroche, who put them through a two-week session using the Constraints-Led Approach.

The CLA replaces traditional drills with live-action training, forcing Wembanyama to do everything through a game-like scenario. This trains the brain and body to constantly seek out the optimal solution to each moment rather than fall back on pre-scripted moves that are easier for the defense to predict.

“Vic is big on learning,” Champagnie said. “So anything that Noah would tell him, he’s picking up. He was trying to be better, do better.”

The CLA trains players to find a shared understanding of principles of play, teaching permutations of actions that can correspond to other actions. The better players are at reading the game, the more easily they can find opportunities — known as affordances — to create advantages…”

I really don’t like watching SGA play. Good game to start the season with though.

Edit: Houston is going to need a secondary playmaker/ball handler to emerge or acquire. That hurt them tonight. They can contend if that happens.

The NBA needs to figure out what to do at the end (truthfully the whole game) of games for replays and reviews. It is almost impossible for me to watch a game live. To many stoppages. I know I am probably the outlier, but I am completely ok with blown calls and human error especially if the solution is watching a ref watch a monitor in crunch time.

And almost cost them the game with 2 smoked free throws at the end. If BOS had any better option than Pritchard, they win that game.

Damn, light news day

Major yikes. The worst part is that the NBA has already investigated Terry and cleared him….only for the FBI to investigate him and later arrest him. I’d go ahead and assume this will be a life time NBA ban for Rozier. You can bet on it

VJ edgecombe game one: 34 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal.

Damn.

Yup sports across the board has this problem. It’s entertainment at this point to serve as a platform for which to pass around money

I think this is probably just the start

Im at the mavs game rn

Come on Duren, that’s ridiculous.

LOL, DET is channeling their inner bad boy Pistons of old right now

Pacers cut James Wiseman, I remember when I thought he was destined to be the next Embiid

Headline for 2033: former NBA guard terry rozier arrested for possession with intent to distribute

Seeing the crash into Trae Young, I’ll be amazed if he’s not out for weeks. That looked quite dangerous and quite potentially bad.

Mark Williams ramping up the minutes and starts and playing well, two 20 and 10 games in a row with multiple steals. Rather happy for him.

What’s up with Ja?

As a South Carolinian, that draft remains rather depressing.
