Imagine being a fan who paid to see this game. The NBA is serious trouble if they keep doing this. Steve Kerr is a huge part of the problem of the “whiney league”. It’s taken about 15 years but they managed to ruin the league. Player empowerment and all.
I haven’t ever seen a .4 second, game winning out of bounds alley oop play work before. Of course it’s the Heat who do it, charmed MFers.
And what the hell was Sam Merrill even doing?
I saw that. Smh, if you would have guessed back in the mid 1990s which franchise between us and them would be the perennial winner, it would have been us.
Could JB Bickerstaff be “the one” who got away from us? He turned the Cavs around. Went to Detroit and turned the lowly Pistons around last year. Now he has them on an 11 game win streak with Cade Cunningham missing 3 of the last four games. It helps that he has Jalen Duren, averaging 20 and 12. Imagine if we had that. Smh
This was interesting to me because in today’s game, Jordan would have flopped to the floor and pretended to be hurt. Then there would have been a hold me back scrum. Then there would have been 15 minutes of review. Then tight whistles the rest of the game.
It was also very apparent that Jordan could easily average 45-50 a game today. Or a triple double. Whichever he chose.
At this point it isn’t tanking. It’s gameplay, rest and player DNP on a nightly basis.
Maybe not allowing pick protections and reducing the number of years future picks can be traded? I don’t really know that tanking is that big of an issue. Players “resting”, and access to game broadcasts would be a bigger concern to me
Bingo.
And overall gameplay. It’s mostly boring, repetitive and coasting
If Jazz doesn’t get punished for tanking, what is the league doing? They pulled all starters the entirety of the 4th quarter, and gave up their 15-point lead to lose.

Any interest in bringing him on board the Hornets?
Sure why not
He is looking for a rotational role on a team, he’d just run into the same problems here.
If I were the GM of a team at the start of a rebuild which could offer him an opportunity I’d be calling him up very quickly though
It’s a business
He deserves better than this
This gets me to thinking about players’ legacies. Chris played many good years in New Orleans (for the Hornets lol) and then Los Angeles. But he became a nomad for many years later on. That’s where the disconnect arises I think. So who claims him now other than West Forsyth and Wake Forest? I guess the Clippers; but it’ll be awhile since he left there on poor terms.
Elite players like Durant, Harden and to a lesser extent LeBron lose loyalty with fans when they change teams so often. Leaving creates scars; and then well you’re just another nomad. I really appreciate the players who stick around. I realize it’s complicated though and not all franchises reward loyalty equally.
As much as I respect the talent of those great players, I wouldn’t be excited at all if one signed with the Hornets even if somehow they’d condescend to consider it.
Watching Detroit vs San Antonio. Detroit doing they’re best to revive the bad boys. Another scuffle and double techs. Of course the refs are playing their part by letting play very physical.
I am all for it
The NBA is trending in the wrong direction allowing this. It is morally disgusting. Are strip clubs legal, yes, are they terrible also yes. For a league that constantly claims the mantle of stopping oppression and speaking up for human rights, celebrating strip clubs is even more offensive than aligning with China on promoting the league.
Strip clubs almost exclusively traffic in abused, drug addicted and often times trafficked women. They demean and reduce them to pure commodity for entertainment and pleasure. There is zero redeeming qualities to this industry.
That the league makes light of this is one thing, but to have a promotional night is something that is just awful not to mention completely hypocritical to what they say the stand for. Same goes for all the players.
Ok, off the soap box
