Amazing how quick NBA players are. Would love to sit courtside someday. What drives me crazy with SGA is he’s talented enough to not have to foul bait.

I feel that he would’ve been better off not setting that record tbh. It is VERY IMPRESSIVE to have 83 points in ANY NBA game, to start. However, 40 FTA, and playing against young Wizards makes it not memorable. Also, trying to chase that goal in the 4th with Miami up 30 is just not very honorable.
For reference Lamelo has 131 FTA this season across 56 games, Bam had 43 FTA in a single game…

I am curious to see the difference (if any) between the espn/league affiliate media and the actual basketball watching fan. I have not seen a single highlight but just looking at 7-22 from 3 and 36-43 from the foul line, i can surmise, I would be less than pleased with the way he got to 83. two years ago there were 2 70 pt games from embiid and luka. I saw a decent amount of both. They were truly 70 pt games. I saw kobe’s 81, it was truly an 81 pt game somehow in the flow of the game.

Yeah, I saw he was at 60 or something and decided to see what he was doing, and it was disgraceful. Even if he was attempting the max possible, he should’ve stopped at 80, and he would be praised for “being a gentleman” not breaking Kobe’s record. And people would’ve argued he could’ve easily done it, and chose not to, what a great the guy is etc.
