Would you guys prefer Hayward or Harrison Barnes?
I think Gordon is the better player by a decent margin but when you factor in the contract + games played probably Barnes.
I would preferably want none of them. Gordon was basically the Al Jefferson signing 2.0. It rushed us out of a proper rebuild and while we were a fun team led to where we are now. I also donāt think the fans wanted it either, the Devonte, Terry, PJ team the year prior was a pleasant surprise to most fans. I donāt think anybody was felt we had to make a big splash in free agency.
This is very revisionist history but we were awful without Gordon in 2020-21. We lose some more games and we couldāve landed Suggs, Franz Wagner or hell possibly Mobley.

I didnāt mind the Hayward signing. I believe if you have a chance to get better, do it. In theory, his signing could have jump started the rebuild. He made us better and the combination of Hayward, Terry, Miles and LaMelo was a legitimately good core of talent. The problem is we just very rarely got to see all four of them on the floor at the same time. To me, the Hayward experiment was more a case of bad luck than bad decision-making.
