I’d have happily offered an extra year to try and tempt him to us … if we’re trying for the playoffs this season.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the two teams in the finals have home-grown stars.
I wish we could turn the clock back, not sign Hayward, and continue to build and play our young players. Develop on their timeline and then pounce when the right player/fit wants to join a young team that’s making noise.
My hope is we do that now, and build around LaMelo. Let him know he’s getting the max, without hesitation, when his time comes. Confirm he’s our guy and this is his team. A Big rotation of PJ & Thor; Williams & Kai plus McDaniels is a nice starting point (switch out PJ and bring in Collins, and we’re really cooking). Let’s see if we can add a piece on the wings over the coming season or two and then fill whatever holes we have with a pricy vet or two.

What is Minnesota doing? Do they need Gobert + KAT? Just doesn’t make sense to me.
Man, grizzlies seemed franchise turning corner. highest scoring team, highest pace, yes defense suck #24…getting defensive player of year huge, part Gobert best defense now is slowing pace down, and getting to be an easy scheme in playoffs. Added in Slow Mo Kyle Anderson slamming on brakes.
Minnesota sent Kessler, 4 firsts (3 unprotected), a first swap for Gobert and his 4/170 million. Utah did not get star wanted…but 3 unprotected from timberwolves is platinum and dumped a lot of money.

Celtics improved roster if these guys can stay healthy, added brogdon and Gallinari to playoff top 7. But Paying a lot of money and in luxury. Even though Horford with some good games in playoffs, expect looking for a taker for his 1 year 26.5 million
Are they going to let KAT play at PF or are they going to trade him?
I could only assume twin towers. It will really put pressure on townes to guard the perimeter

Do you really think we can afford that after losing Miles? As far as I know we are still in win NOW mode. Granted I personally think that we should use Cliff to rebuild for the next two years but as far as I now we are still trying to win our division.
