2023-24 Hornets General Discussion Thread

I don’t love any of those three out going players, but for me that trade is an easy no. Ingram is good and would be a good piece. However as has already been pointed out, miller is already on the roster making Ingram a luxury not a necessity.

No way I give up any picks, let alone 3, for a player that has been signaled as being allowed to become a free agent and doesn’t play a position of need.

We finally have a bit of depth and we want to trade half of it away for Ingram i just don’t get it. Yeah he’s a good player but that’s giving up way to much for a someone who i don’t think will get us to the play offs.

Yeah I tend to agree. I think Ingram would be a good addition but I wouldn’t want to part with that many picks AND have to pay him max money.

Would we be able to extend Ingram if we got him? I’d only trade for him if he was willing to sign an extension

I’m sure that was a Pelicans fan that floated that trade, lol.

I’d give them one first with those players contingent upon Brandon signing an extension. Those are the types of players we need to be looking at but not for three first round picks, absolutely not.

I love miller but good gosh

Yea, Wemby’s special. Thankfully, it’s not like the AD draft for us, as Miller has the look of an All Star about him.

Okay, I can work w that:

  1. Pack up Davis and Micic for the highest pick you can get

  2. Draft Bronny w that pick

  3. Pay LBJ to play with his son in Charlotte

  4. Watch ticket sales skyrocket

  5. Enjoy the change in culture

  6. Watch winning games on national broadcasts

The Lakers with LeBron are a play-in team. If healthy, we’re that. I’ll pass on LeBron and hope to build a good team in the next couple of years.

Sign Luke Kennard

I’d like to have a player like Josh Hart. I really like him.

Edit: or Donte DiVincenzo

I have been a season ticket holder since 1988. We have collected a lot of stuff. Here is a link to a video showing it all.

  1. Happy part out soul to devil per agreement and wish him a good day.

Rozier did very little for the heat, Hayward is a stale, forgotten fart in OKC, and PJ Washington gives the Mavs an occasional hot scoring night from three point land. And then of course goes back to reality.

(Okay, PJ has been good for Dallas, I’m underselling it)

I wish we had traded this guys much sooner, but I’m mostly happy with the return. Even happier that we can look forward now.

I’m looking at things post ownership change, and judging on what actions they’ve taken. Just too painful to look back at missed opportunities!

So far, they have vastly exceeded my expectations. Hard to score them under an A.

Is this an endorsement of the new owners? I am there, I am just looking for other people to join me.

This is what I am talking about! This is why I was not worried about the coaching search. If we get a top 3 pick then it would be pretty hard to mess up the draft.

Things are breaking our way.

If we would of traded the guys under the old regime they would totally messed it up and been fleeced, we would probably owe other teams a first round pick

Not even close for me. It would have to be something like the haliburton trade between Indy and sac or markkanan with cle and Utah plus picks.

I am going to need a marginal all star type player back plus picks
