2024-25 Hornets General Discussion

I would love someone like Portis, but no way Milwaukee trades him.

Let’s see if tonight can go better for Salaun. Obviously ORL is a hell matchup for him and everyone on earth they face. Aside, this is not an expectation I have of Salaun (because it’s way too early to have expectations of him), but I still want to see his offensive skills develop outside of shooting a three.

Would like to see coach Lee find a way to get Salaun involved in the offensive sets other than popping out for a three.

Why not get Salaun involved in a horns action or a Spain pick and roll? Would love to see Salaun roll to the basket more often from the PnR.

Looks like Knecht had a 5 game stretch of 24/38 63% three point shooting, good for a cool 23ppg.

That would be nice right now. Well, I mean. Anything would be good right now with mann, miles, grant, mark, and Richards out.

Does anyone else feel half way to soul crushed already? That feels even worse because Melo is being the player we’ve all been wanting to see, but it just feels all disappointing somehow. We’ve gotta get healthy, my heart and soul needs it.

Aside from melo and miller, the roster is pretty void of talented basketball players. There’s future potential but not a whole lot of right now

If tre can get his body right, i think he’s got a great talent set

Again, more of a future talent.

Tre Mann is talented right now. He’s just hurt. And you can hate Bridges all you want, but to say he has no talent is pretty outrageous. This roster has enough talent to win. It’s just that at any given time only 60-70 percent of it is available.

Except that over the last 4 years they haven’t been a winning team. That’s what I mean by future winning talent.

Ever notice how anytime a real team picks it up a gear in the 4th, Charlotte fades. They don’t have the extra winning gear. That gear comes with experience and veteran talent. It isn’t on the roster.

They have a good base to start from, they just need two things: health and time.

I keep saying it, no other franchise has had this kind of ongoing injury luck like us

I think we have that gear this year. Aside from 1 bad game, start to finish, we are in every game. And we didn’t fail because they had a longer gear, we did because we were playing with two good tires, one winter beater, and one flat.

But how often have we had our best players on the court together in the last 4 years? Of course we aren’t going to win when our best players aren’t playing.

Happy thanksgiving HP fam. Not a ton to my happy about with the team, but I’ll get us started.

-thankful for Melo staying healthy and showing he should be in the mix for a top tier player in the league.

-MARK WILLIAMS IS PRACTICING WITH GREENSBORO OMG.

Miller and melo are 100% a pair and a foundation

I’m thankful for Salaun making fire in the crowd. That two handed flex after the shot was dope. I still bitter about Knecht, but I can’t help but love Salaun and really really want him to work out.

It’s never going to stop, is it?

WHAT DO WE NEED TO SACRIFICE???

Just noticed that LaMelo was originally listed as probable for the Heat game with wrist soreness. Probably a good idea to get him some rest for a couple days.

They should 100% give him a few days rest. No reason to push it this early in the season.

I’d like to formally redact any sentiment of thankfulness from yesterday, given the Melo news.
