Me too, if we can leverage a pick or a few guys for a center, we just got a lot better and solved the 2 guard / wing shooting issues

Heās played in 65% of games this year in a season where weāve been toast since like mid-November due to injuries. Iām sure if we were more competitive heād of been playing more.

I feel what we would get for Miles Bridges would not be worth it. Iām very much not a Bridges fan, and I donāt need to beat that dead horse, but heās played well enough this year for what itās worth. Butā¦Iād rather him be gone sooner rather than later to replace him with a better shooter/defender/passer/BBIQ etc. Like Cooper Flagg for example haha.
Again, I just donāt think that the return will make the trade worth while. If the Hornets just want to press the accelerator and trade him anyways, I would understand that as well.

I agree, but Iād just want more than two second round picks. Any contender would have to include some sort of undesirable player as a form of salary dump. But if that happens, Iām fine with that too. I just want to hit the reset button and get this roster moving in a different direction.

Thatās remarkably good. Send out less than you get back w/ the pick swap alone and free up the requisite roster spot. Now need another spot before Diabate hits game 50. Our FO is rocking this trade deadline in a way no other (Charlotte FO) has.

And Nurkic only has one more year (19 million) before heās a UFA. Which will make him another trade asset for the following trade deadline.
-So we ship off an expiring contract (Micic), Cody Martin who had one more year at 9 million, a 2026 second round pick.
-We gain a serviceable big who only has one more year left at 19 million, along with the potential to trade him AGAIN next trade deadline for more assets. Iād imagine we could get two second rounders for him potentially next year.
-AND a 2026 first round pick in return.
-So we trade Martin, Micic, and a 2nd round pick. For a serviceable big with a manageble deal with one year left, a 1st round pick, and possibly two more 2nd round picks next year if we trade Nurkic.
Edit: well, Micic had one more year of team option contract at around 8 million. But I donāt think Charlotte wouldāve exercised that anyways.
