I don’t really see him being disgruntled. We were sending him to play with LeBron and Luka. In LA. That was a gift! His farewell post to Charlotte was very gracious… problem is, the injury concern is worst than we thought (or as bad as some thought) apparently. We were
close to getting out from under that headache with major assets instead. Smh.
This is such bullshit. I was super excited.
Now we know that Williams back is f’d up and now we are forced to keep up or trade him for very low value. Of freaking course. I feel like the lakers just changed their mind to screw us. Only us.
I fail to see how we screwed up here. It looks like the Lakers didn’t like what they bought after the purchase. I guarantee that had they not gotten bad outs in it, they wouldn’t be backing out. They knew what his injury history was when they bought in.
Lakers shouldn’t just be able to have buyers remorse and rescind it unilaterally.
Fine, if they want us to keep mark, Silver should still give us the first round pick for wasting our time. Or Knecht.
Feels more like one of those “every deal has this sort of out, no team actually does this shit.”
I think buyers remorse is a definite possibility here but the physical test is not a process controlled by the teams from my understanding, that is an NBA process even though the teams run it.
It is a HUGE mistake on our part if he failed physical because now we just tanked his value and put the whole league on notice that we have no intent to extend him. If they had a bit of an idea that the physical was going to be iffy it is a mistake.
Ooof, this is not good. Ok, I’d have buyers remorse is he’s Frankensteined on inspection too. Ok Hornets, what’s going on here? Minimally, we need some details from our own medical staff, and on the sudden January departure.
It has been nice knowing you guys.
Charlotte basketball, why do you hate me so much?
HORNETS LAW
Hornets Fucking Law.
It is the strongest law in all of sports!
I need someone to hold me. Maybe go buy me some ice cream.
Well the good news is that we won’t have to worry about extending him for any big number. The other good news is we got a viable center. The other other good news is that we could have interesting options if he digs in on recovery as a result of this.
Welp Nurkic is our big addition… let him show off and send Mark to whoever built the Six Million Dollar Man.
Multiple issues not his back??? What’s going on here.
Still got that 2026 1st from the Phoenix deal.
Maybe foot/feet issues?
I didnt even knownit was possible to rescind the trade AFTER the deadline is over. Thats actually insane. And what do we do now? Desdline is over so you cant make amends. What an absolute shitshow
I think this is most likely, watched him walk from up close the other night and really hated what I saw
Just when you think you can’t be more depressed about the Hornets… Hornets Law. NEVER EVER think it can’t get worse.
You can amend. They didn’t. That doesn’t mean he’s a broken down lump of human, just that he’s not going to be on their timeline. And if that was the reason they paid what they paid, then i get it. Also doesn’t mean he’s too broken to fix. We just need 6 million bucks and Oscar Goldman.
Leaving this above for history but it’s inaccurate, cannot be amended.
