In my opinion, the biggest travesty and one of the best tourney games I have watched, was when wvu upset the chris paul wake team. That was such a good team. I had them in the Final Four that year.
Yeah, we definitely shouldāve been in the final four that year. That was a gut-wrenching loss. There was a pivotal sequence late in that game where there was a foul and a tech and we had 4 consecutive FTs. Prosser (God rest his soul) got confused about which ones were shot first and he sent Jamaal Levy, a 50-something percent FT shooter to the line to shoot the techs thinking those were the regular FTs. Levy ended up having to shoot all 4 and I think he made like one of the four. Iāll never forget the look on Skipās face when he realized what he had done. CP3 eventually fouled out and we ended up losing in double-OT. That loss is among the top 5 toughest losses Iāve experienced as a sports fan. Itās right there with losing to Big Country in ā95 in Childressās last game and the Panthersā two SB losses.
For sure. My sub runs out March 15. Really no point to watch⦠kind of sucks.
Canceled my subscription last month.
I got 3 free months with a $5 fan duel bet. Worked out nicely. lol
Really hoping next year, you can just watch games locally with no issues. Even the ones that are supposed to be broadcast here in Wilmington, I canāt find the game. Might have it invest on an antenna, as I have YouTube tv.
My 2 cents⦠heās not 100% right or wrong. Yes LaMelo takes a lot of shots, some ill advised, some plain stupid. Tries to make plays that arenāt there. Not a good on ball defender. But, in the Minnesota game that the article referenced, multiple times he made the right basketball play. Nice pass to Mark, drive and kick to a shooter for a open 3. Basketball gets fumbled out of bounds, missed shot, turnover⦠Iām thinking LaMelo in part thinks he might as well take the shot because he doesnāt trust anyone else to make it. Yes, Iād prefer he make the right basketball play. But, this team would still have the second worst record either way. If and when this team is healthy and more talented, and LaMelo is still playing the same way, then a difficult decision will need to be made.
I agree that Lamelo could do better for winning basketball, but criticizing him for taking shots or not trusting his teammate on the offense is shortsighted. Just look at the offensive-Lebron of his teammates this season. Josh Green has the WORST o-Lebron by a landslide in the league, Salaun is 11th, and Jeffries is 12th. [Not counting Taj here, as he is limited], then NSJ 19th worst, Mousse 47th.
These are the players he plays day in and day out, sometimes all 4 of them on the floor with him.
HOW DARE YOU CHALLENGE THE NARRATIVE THAT ALL THE HORNETS PROBLEMS ARE DUE TO LAMELO!
Anyone got some tickets for tonight theyād want to sell?
Iāll send you a DM

They tried too hard last night. Melo isnāt sick anymore, itās the ankle now.
I didnāt think LaMelo would play on a b2b. Figured mark would though.
Ahh, I see I was wrong about them not wanting that 10 game losing streak to hit at home against the Nets. They want all the Lās.
Flagg Night at the Hive!

Just a goofy, silly question here.
If you could trade Lamelo Ball and Eric Collins for two young all-stars, would you?
As much as Iād love to see some wins, Iād miss Eric Collins.
Nope. EC is not on the trade block. Ever.
Edit: As fun as the Hornets winning will be, it just wouldnāt be the same without Eric and Dell calling the games. BTW, Shannon is doing a fine job, but I do miss Ashley. Sheās the best.
Stephanie is the best that there ever was and will be
