Here is the information I found on big Pat. I hope they give a nice tribute on opening night.
Really sad news about big Pat. I also expect the hornets to do something nice for him opening night.
I will really miss his voice
Wonderful man

It’s bleacher report and references a conversation in the recent Zach lowe podcast. So it’s not like it’s even “rumors”, but if there’s a hint of Sengun being available I’d pounce on it.
It seems crazy to me that they’d trade him. Given how young he his and he fits their timeline.
But I’d LOVE to have him.
But I guess this article is kind of like “teams are interested in Brandon Miller”.
What would it take to get Şengün, a 1st and a couple of 2nds or 2 1st’s which is 2 rich for me
Yeah there’s zero substance really to it, it’s the off season and I’m bored lol. And I really wanted Sengun from the get go. I really like him
Apparently there was a “robust” market for Sengun when there was some rumbling of his potential availability.
I would trade mark Williams and a 1st in a heartbeat, but I know that wouldn’t be enough. Edit: this won’t be nearly enough lol.
Yeah… I’d gladly trade two first for him to be honest. I don’t think our first round picks will be super super high for the next few years. But I kind of feel it may take more than that. I too would trade Mark and maybe even 2 first rounders.
That said, Mark Williams fits well with Lamelo as a lob threat and good defender inside. I would love to see the guys healthy for more than a few games to see how things really work.
I can also see a reasonable fit between Sengun and Salaun. I think Segun needs a PF who’s athletic, with good length, and willing to work hard alongside him. That said, not sure of the salary projection fit, as Segun will need paying at the end of this season, I think, and he’ll want a good chunk of money.
I can’t figure out how tall this guy actually is. I’ve read 6’9, 6’10, and 6’11. He does seem pretty thin, around 210. Also, he’s not a three point shooter. I guess the trend continues of not having an outside shooting big on the roster. Oh well, maybe one day my wish will be fulfilled of having a center who can stretch the floor. Someday…
6’9.25" in socks at his NBA combine. With good length numbers. So, in the old days they’d let him be listed at 6’10" or 6’11".
Edit: I see that info was provided at the bottom of Eastley’s link.
For sure. On a podcast I heard his height listed as 6’11. I then googled him and got another two results of 6’9 and then also 6’10.
During a summer league game we were discussing what Brandon miller’s actual height was (6’7 vs. 6’9). Plenty of different listings.
I just find the range of height measurements for players kind of entertaining. Especially for collegiate players. School are known to be “optimistic” with players’ height lol. If I’m remembering correctly, USC had Bronny James listed as 6’4”, but he was measured at 6’1.5” at the combine. Maybe I’m mixing someone up, but that kind of thing happens even more frequently in college.
I mean, I’m 6’1, but I identify as 6’4 lol. That’s my true inner self haha. Anyways. Off season stuff. Back to hornets basketball.
I just wish Brandon Miller had measured at the combine.
I really hope this rumor has legs. Would be a huge fan. I was actually thinking yesterday that the front office may have been holding the last roster spot open in case of a late signing or trade.
If Okoro could be added on a reasonable deal, even if it’s only a one year I think you do it. It would make me gladly ship out Cody Martin and probably Micic as well. I say add Okoro and let him play here. Love the idea of adding young talent and seeing what works over the course of the year.
I totally get that having both green and Okoro is a little redundant, but why would we mind having two guys that are 6’5/6’6 who are young, good defenders, can shoot the three, and have room to grow? They can play either the SG or back up Brandon at SF.
Especially considering they’d both be in charlotte on great contracts that are easily traded. Any playoff team on earth would want an athletic 3andD wing.
I just view having Okoro as a good young asset on a reasonable contract. We’ve had a dearth of talent and no real 3andD wings since like…Courtney Lee and raja bell?? Seriously. I say go for it, we need talent and defense so badly.
