For some reason I think this is going to be a lackluster trade deadline.

I am weary of doing to much before the deadline just in case it affects the teams winning dynamic. Little moves I’m ok with say a 2nd for Lonzo for bench depth with Sexton/ Sion. If we could land a C to back up Moose that would be nice maybe for Connington and Plumdog
I wouldn’t mind Lonzo being here. If it helps keep Melo happy and we can find a way to rehabilitate him into a backup point guard especially. Colin has his days, but he’s almost better off the ball as a secondary ball handler than the main guy.
Also it would give us insurance if we wanted to move Colin also.

Sooo is that George/Ace/Lauri/JJJ/Kessler? Are they going to be able to re sign Walker Kessler? This one is a shocker. I really don’t like the JJJ contract.
If Kessler is there. Positions 2-5 would have the heights: 6’’9, 7’0, 6’10, 7’2. That’s huge.

Does Memphis actually use the trade exception? Teams don’t often use them in reality. Unless Memphis uses that money to take on salary from teams scrambling to evade the hard cap.

Very strange to say the least for Utah. That’s a massive amount to give up. That is the kind of haul you give up for a piece when you want to go for it. They are going for it with what they have? lol.
Side note. I wonder what kind of effect 3 firsts for JJJ will have on the trade market at the deadline?
It would seem that way, but i wonder if they have essentially chosen Ja Morant by shipping off JJJ. If anything, the market seems pretty cool on Morant, for several reasons. If they were to trade morant, I think the return would be noticeably less than they received for JJJ.
You would think they wouldn’t be resigning Kessler or keeping Lauri. One of the two has to go if no other reason than financial.

Can you imagine the sets we could run with Melo and Lauri? Cap wouldn’t work in two years anyways. Melo Lauri and Miller’s new deal would be like 140-150m. I’d highly doubt our front office wants to dip into that first apron to fill out the roster
Defense would be severely lacking and if you are capping your self in a corner like that, you are saying this is our championship level team. It wouldn’t work.
I don’t think it would work well either, but Melo and Lauri would be such a fun pairing.
I actually think it’s Minnesota where Harden ends up, not Cleveland. Minnesota just cleared out some cap and need a PG.
That would not work well. Harden doesn’t beat OKC in a 7 game series. Harden and Ant is no bueno. Not enough basketballs.
