Short of this site continuing, where is everyone going?
I am unsure of going to discord but if that’s where the community is going, I will give it a try. Seems like discord is more like grinder than it is a community.
I may have to migrate back to realgm and hang with swedd and the guys. Or just lurk around reading opinions but stop posting about the hornets. Not sure.
I would like something before the draft season really kicks off.
My hope is that HP keeps going, although I certainly understand if it doesn’t. I’m sure it’s a large commitment of time and money to operate. I certainly appreciate those who have kept it running to this point and who may going forward.
I hope that this group can stay together somewhere. Hopefully we can have some plan before the lights go off. The only other forum or group I visit is r/CharlotteHornets. But that can be a cesspool at times. I’m willing to go wherever this bunch of misfits goes.
The discord server is available if you’d like to give it a try. It’s been quiet and so I’ll likely not keep it going unless you all wish to use it.
I’ve seen a few gambling sites jump on and I’ve banned them.
iIts not anything except what we wish to make of it. It’s easy to use and simple to moderate against any abuse.
I’ve found one other Hornets discord that is more a trove of links to ‘X’ posts and a lot of vile commentary. That community has no attraction to me, As mentioned, it is what you make it.
I like the community at realgm a lot. It’s just unfortunate that the site is so polluted with ads and pop ups that’ it nearly unusable.
I am not sure what grinder is but discord is essentially a chat system the way it is set up so we can still do topics and everything over there
It was a metaphor. Grinder is essentially a hookup app for booty calls.
My metaphor regarding community was this, hornetsplanet is to marriage as discord is to grinder
Oh wow lol. Well discord could be whatever you make it so technically you are right but theme of Hornets planet hopefully will stay basketball 
I tried to register at realm, but when I login it says my account is inactive. Do you know if there is a waiting period or something?
The guys over at BuzzBeat Pod are pretty active, think that’s the one Plowright’s involved in - Wonder if there’d be any appetite for some form of merger

I’ll repost an invite link to the discord if there’s a reason to. In the meantime I understand and agree that the preference is to remain here. Just give it a week or so notice ha.
If we use it, the discord will be well moderated and is not likely to attract too many rando’s. It sure hasn’t so far. It should be a very safe space. Just because you join one server absolutely does not mean you’re exposed to the world of others out there.
If HP does not continue, I plan to be in the discord. I’m still not sure how to use it.
I haven’t been using it yet bc using HP while I can. I hope to see everyone there, if this done indeed end.
but man… What a shitty game to end it on. But it is very fitting as a Hornets fan. Ha
If HP does get sunset I’m OK going to the discord.
It won’t be the same, but at least we’d still be able to suffer together there.
