Please don’t hand off Chicago’s first-half beer here.

I’m excited to see Nurkic.

cltblkhscoach

This should be loads of fun

spectre

I love the guy already lol

Eastley

He has that Pryzbilla body shape

spectre

He moves so smooth and with confidence. I can’t think of anyone we’ve had who looks like this guy. If he starts nailing 3s we got a steal

obviously ive been severely center deficient lol

Eastley

That he shoots 2.4 per game makes him a Hornet unicorn of centers

spectre

how do you make green look for his shot

cltblkhscoach

Damion Baugh, wow

tada 1
spectre

he’s an assist guy right? Curious to see what he’s got

Well ok maybe not just an assist guy

Eastley

He's a tall 6'4"

cltblkhscoach

Man Tidjane has so far to go sheesh

spectre

Yup.

Think it helped or hurt him playing so much with the team vs in Greensboro? Thought was he would be with the swarm when he was drafted

Eastley

Probably more hurts him playing center

+1 1
cltblkhscoach

Playing helps. I mean they played him while he was here. The problem is he is starting from almost a HS senior level

spectre

He certainly wasn’t ready for the minutes. Hopefully it does help

cltblkhscoach

I thought Orlando couldn't shoot lol

Eastley

We're a constant cure for that

spectre

lol 100%

lot of hero ball

Eastley

For us, it's more like beero ball

cltblkhscoach

Old school post up I like it

+1 1
spectre

Cmon i wanna see a nurkic 3

Eastley

2.4 per game

spectre

He’s going to get 20 boards by halftime

cltblkhscoach

I think they're limiting his minutes though

spectre

Yeah they are

Pickings are slim to be optimistic about!

Eastley

I like point Nurkic. I probably won't in short time tho

spectre

So long as he doesn’t become point Plumlee

Yknow at 18/19 million I don’t consider that bad at all

cltblkhscoach

I mean, whether we have Mark or not he's got some value

It's the body type of center I like. Plus he's tough

Don't like point Nurkic

Lol

+1 2
spectre

Hahaha

yeah that didn’t go well

cltblkhscoach

Nice one by Payton

spectre

Yeah that was great I didn’t think he’d get that through

Wow green has 8shots

powellrmp

Give me a Nurk 3

ray

Green never shoots so much I feel he is always scared and honestly even if he isn't shooting 100% it's fun to see him step out of comfort zond

Zone

cltblkhscoach

Oh damn

NSJ ejected too? Wow

Those have to be the most random ejections ever lol

spectre

Dumb throwing it at the magic guy. Refs were already keyed in on him

cltblkhscoach

Yeah the Magic are frustrated. We have no business leading

I kinda like it though. We need some toughness

Chef

Kcp was grabbing his shorts like he wanted to go. Which btw is only slightly dumber than arms outstretched when trying to provoke a fight

tnhornetsfan

I don't necessarily like the offense we run, to many 3s, but you have to give it to coach Lee for the job he's done. To keep this team competitive with all the injuries and playing a g-league lineup at times, that is a good coaching job.

+1 2
Eastley

He's just a damned good coach and obviously guys will run through a wall for him

Did anyone catch what the beef was between kcp and nsj?

Chef

Nurkic schooling the rook on rebounds there

My eyes enjoy watching a true sized center.

+1 1
spectre

Hell yeah

And we got him for micic and cody

I’d have paid someone to take micic

Eastley

I slipped Phoenix a $5

ray

Someone in the locker room bet josh green. He wouldn't score 20 and josh said watch me

+1 1
spectre

Your guy has 12 on5/9 shots. I’m loving it

Yknow nurkic and moussa could play well together

Chef

The thing I like about nurkic is consistency. He's never going to blow the roof off but he is always going to show up and do his thing

Goodness gracious miles hurts my eyes.

It's bad bad.

spectre

Miles being miles

Eastley

Miles gets so predictable unfortunately

Chef

Taj definitely has entered old man at the y territory

Eastley

Salaun has looked so much more comfortable out they are the 4

Chef

Yes he does.

And he goes back to the locker room

Eastley

Yeah wtf?

Chef

It looked like he found some comfort. So naturally he gets hurt

This is a legit g league team playing the last 3 minutes

Eastley

More like an NCAA tourney team with their undersized coach playing the 5

Chef

Pretty much. You don't realize how bad the team is until you see something like that. This team is dressing about 3 legit pros tonight

And arguably zero starters

spectre

With Josh’s stat line tonight I’d be happy to call him a starter. He needs to bring that every night tho

heart 1
ray

I'm so happy

spectre

Is this how it is at swarm games?

Chef

That's the issue for us as fans of this pathetic franchise. On any functional team he is 8-10 in the rotation

spectre

This is comical in a deranged sort of way

ray

I really wanted josh to hit 20 i guess it won't happen

This is horrific I'm not happy anymore

Eastley

I look forward to 5 more minutes of miles taking ill advised shots

ray

Our lineup should be in g league and they are all trying to prove themselves at the same time by shooting horrible shots and missing

spectre

I think he can chuck at least 8 more

Eastley

What's the fanduel odds on that?

ray

Why can't they pass

Wedgie

spectre

haha if they’re on top of their game say -1

Josh is 2nd highest in points. Baugh in his debut hit 3rd

Oh crap they pulled miles

+1 1
Eastley

They only plus minus on the team tonight was ejected to end the half. That's Hornets basketball

cltblkhscoach

I like this Baugh kid

Double double for UNC!

+1 2
Eastley

Yes!!!

That's a minor win

I was impressed by Baugh. For your first ever NBA game, that is impressive.

After game ended i flipped over to the bucks game vs timberwolves and how they played the game made hornets look like kindergarteners

I flipped to FSU vs WFU and the shot quality, execution, and decision making is about the same

I’m not watching any NBA until next Wednesday when we’re in LA. Boycotting anything All-Star related.

After watching the finish of the Wake FSU game, I’m boycotting the rest of Steve Forbes coached games. He’s not it, guy can’t have a team hold a lead any better than Hornets can keep players healthy.

That’s a shame. I thought he would do well at Wake.

Absolutely great recruiter, really dismal coach imo

Yep, Wake’s had a bad loss like this every year he’s been there that’s tanked their tourney chances.

Shifting to my other team that’s hard to love, I agree about Baugh. Not a bad debut at all. The thing that struck me was what Eric and Dell mentioned. He just looked so comfortable out there. Definitely felt like he belonged on the floor. None of the deer in headlights type frenetic energy you’d expect to see from a G-League call up in his first big league game. In addition to the shotmaking, he was extremely composed and seemed to have a maturity level far beyond his years. He didn’t even seem to react to the hard KCP foul. It’s just one game, but I’m definitely interested to see more.

By now, you probably know we love a player taking advantage of an opportunity around these parts. Damion Baugh was signed to a two-way contract earlier in the day on Wednesday. That night, he was playing for the injury-ravaged Hornets. 16 points, five rebounds, three assists and a steal when you weren’t on the team that morning? That’s getting some love here!

From:

Looks like Baugh had a triple double earlier in January with his G League team. With 21 assists…yowza

I went to a middle school basketball game and they were shooting better shots than the hornets

I played middle school basketball at Trexler Middle School, and we won 2 games all year…. And indeed, shot better shots than these Hornets. lol
