Cody has played like this is his final game as a Hornet in his life. Hopefully we can bring the dude back on a good deal as our backup C
The PJ hate is going to be fun rewinding next year. Wish we had the old site content for the number of folks that had the hard sell on Miles.
Hey I was very bullish on PJ last year. This season he has had some serious and consistent effort issues. I don’t have a problem with his game, I have a problem with his effort and his effort alone.
How much you guys want to bet Indiana goes 6-34 from 3 on Thursday night?
That last play is exactly what I’m talking about from PJ. No room for that. HE IS IN THE NBA GIVING EFFORT LIKE THAT! Absolutely infuriating
It’s the exact same stuff that nearly everyone had for Miles last year. Strong buys on guys’ first years isn’t hard, they haven’t been given a bigger responsibility to deal with yet. At least not on this team with either Clif or JB.
Well its been a fun season, especially the first part. Lottery it is but its just frustrating to think about the what could have been if we were a little bit more healthy in the home stretch of the season.
I feel like this is one of the worst losses in recent memory given the stakes and the tean we are playing. I mean pacers have had it ROUGH this year from injuries (warren, levert, etc)to a coach nobody likes and players not wanting to be there. now they are just playing with the hornets. not good
Curtis Blair really refs us like he hates our guts
Bush league by the Indiana coach to challenge up 30. That would get you cussed out in the 90s
Bridges decision making was poor at times last year, but I never questioned his effort.
IDK man the effort thing just kills me because I would think a player should take pride in being an NBA player and want to give it your all. That’s why I have been hard on PJ because he really doesn’t want it sometimes, and that sometimes is WAYYYYY more often than it should be
Ok Go, what’s a fair bet? I got significant confidence on PJ next year having a Milesesque jump next year. Dude came into the season with Covid, playing a hybrid role and getting used to playing small ball 5 and just became a dad. None of that is new next year and he’s shown he can be special on both sides of the ball this year. How confident are you he sucks? I got money on the idea he doesn’t.
I hope you’re right when we look back a year from now, well if he’s not traded. pJ played real bad today but dude showed flashes this year of being good. Just needs to be more consistent.
I mean if he brings consistent effort he will be good for us. But with what we have seen this season and smaller parts of last, that is a pretty big IF
Credit to the announcers, they didn’t get into a discussion on burgers yet.
Ok, as soon as you figure out how confident you are in him sucking, let me know the bet.
This doesn’t look bad for the NBA. It just looks like typical Charlotte Bobcats kind of stuff. But with that being said, Greg Anthony pretty much talked for 35 minutes straight about how much we suck
This is embarrassing… I have some unpopular opinions and if I’m wrong so be it… We should have tanked when the team started to drop like flies. I hope somehow this beatdown and fall apart -experience- is worthwhile for the youth of the team. I don’t believe JB should be fired but I’ll still smh over some coach of the year talk that was going around about a month back. PJ needs to not be playing a -hybrid role- and we need to find a center. We need a shake up/shake off from the way this season has ended. Yes we were beat up but everyone was gung ho about pushing to make the playoffs and gain some kind of experience and in the end that plan totally flopped. I think the organization needs to show expectations are higher now… not just “we’ll be there in two years” like Chef mentioned above. Youth or not we need some positive consistency going forward.
Can’t agree more with this post
I don’t think there’s any pointing fingers tonight. It’s just all bad basketball by everyone. We didn’t seem prepared. We couldn’t make shots. We forced too many shots. We weren’t rotating like we needed to. And on the flip side, Indiana was making just about everything fall.
Just a bad a game, but hopefully the lesson learned from everyone is you can’t just rely on threes and energy to win games. You have to pay attention to details and be ready to create small advantages if needed. The good thing is we had a lot of guys demonstrate real potential, and they’re young. just got to learn to mix the fun high-flying stuff with winning discipline.
